Yar the scale is pretty small but as someone who only play single player I don't really regret buying DoW2, the campain isnt bad, the story is alright and they actually respected the lore for once and made it a little bit more "story driven" than DoW1 in my opinion (I still enjoyed it too though). The small RPGs elements with the troops was alright too
Only thing is I wish they made the last stand playable solo (even with some AI controlling the others heroes) just for fun.
And god that terminator sergent is nice, they really improved the "dynamism" of the figurines since the last time I played the tabletop (proud owner of an old 3000+ points Space Marine army here). Is the posture of it "out of the box" or is it modified? Painting is pretty good too, Golden Demon's candidate?
Right now I am replaying the old Chaos Gate just for fun
@Cheese: I have almost no knowledge of the Multi as you know but I don't really see it easily possible for them to "fix" the multi's flaws you say (more capping chase than battles etc.) , that would means for me changing quite a lot the basic way the game is being played. It's a bit "big" of a change for me to see being done, not impossible, but I wouldnt hold my breath on it.
One thing I would really "hope" is for the next Warhammer 40K game (if any) is for Relic to go the other way from what they did from DoW1 to Dow2,
instead of reducing the scale... increase it.Warhammer Epic with Titans, whole platoons of tanks/super heavy tanks, whole companies of infantry and co could be absolutely mind-blowing. Think of something like the scale of Supreme Commander in Warhammer's universe.....
