There is an Autocannon Dread????
http://www.xfire.com/video/16612b/ Something pretty cool here. Relic has ported ToV's direct fire and movement to DoW2.It's works. It was originally for Space Hulk in DoW2.What a waste that they have scrap that off. There is another pretty cool unit i found in Relic News, IG Ogryn. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The retexture looks damn good. Source Now i just hope Relic will release more mod tools.I think it would happen eventually,as they state this on an interview. QUOTE We would like to improve the ease of modding in the future we just don’t have a timeline for it right now. I really hope to see all the cool mods from DoW1 will be ported to DoW2. Yeah,89th Mod isnt really complete yet,but still,it's a good effort.Just hope one day modders will get access to models, animations,AI and campaign. That time, i bet DoW2 will be a damn good game.
A new race in DoW2 will be much easier to implement than DoW1,as there is less buildings and less units to model.Texturing would be harder, but nothing will stop a bunch of modders. I never seen an Autocannon Dread before.I dont remember it in DoW2,as the current Dread is just lame. Yeah,im going to get my own pet Dread soon. Level 9 now!!!! QUOTE(Leo3010 @ Oct 17 2009, 03:00 PM) Sure, you have seen them lol. Evn in standard VP mode. people build them lol. Wait,do you mean this one? However on Wave 19....they come from all sides, theres 4 types of dreads tht pop up randomly. 2 have cannons while the other 2 are melee...its frustrating cause you can't really run from them... ![]() Or this one? ![]() Seems like you are talking about the first picture to me. |

QUOTE(Fatimus @ Oct 17 2009, 05:41 PM) Lascannon is only one of the AV weapons. There are Melta,Autocannon and Lascannon,at least. Here are just a few of the examples of what kind of weapon a Dreadnaught can take. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() More here. |

QUOTE(Fatimus @ Oct 17 2009, 06:03 PM) Ah thanks for the clear up, as in DoW I dunno which dreadnought (normal or hellfire dreadnought), can be equip with lascanon. It's both, actually, but they remove Hellfire's one in WA.The current Dreadnaught in DoW2 with 2 Powerfist is actually a Furioso Dreadnaught. It's a Blood Angels Dreadnaught variant,as they favour close combat,if im not wrong. There are still Siege,Mortis,Aegis, and also Venerable. Those are just Dreadnaught variants that is armed with specific different weapons. For example,Mortis usually take twin-linked Autocannons, twin-linked Heavy Bolters, twin-linked Lascannons, or two Missile launchers. Still, there is no reason for Relic to include all the variants of a single unit as it's just redundant to have so many weapon that do almost the same job. Added on October 17, 2009, 6:28 pm QUOTE(Leo3010 @ Oct 17 2009, 06:17 PM) Similarly, you get these types of Dreads as well. The autocannon armed dread is different from a assault cannon dread,as autocannon has a much longer barrel.I'll try and post a screenshot of a Autocannon and Assault cannon armed Dread.(taken from cheese's source) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The Dread wit Assault cannon and missle pod attacthment. (As seen in DOW1) The last one is actually Hellfire,as it has a Missile Launcher, than a Powerfist. Personally,i like Ironclad the most. It's the newest Dread variant. With more armour, and armed to the teeth. ![]() This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Oct 17 2009, 06:29 PM |

QUOTE(Leo3010 @ Oct 17 2009, 07:42 PM) You still can use it for other Chapters. The reason why Ultramarine is always featured is because they are the easiest to play in TT.They are pretty much the "generic" chapter of SM,as other chapter like Blood Angels,Black Templar,Dark Angels etc all have their own unique characteristics. QUOTE(TheNameX @ Oct 17 2009, 08:00 PM) My god, the orgyn look like orks with fair complexion, to hell with the designer. It's a retexture in the first place. How much can you expect from that?Ultramarines has been hated by some SM players for some reason as they are always the one that get the most attention compare to other chapter. At least they put a lot of effort put into to make it look like an Ogryn. |

Well, they are the most famous SM chapter.Im kinda bored of them too. Prefer Dark Angel or Black Templars. |

QUOTE(tango25 @ Dec 21 2009, 11:37 AM) i wanted to play this game, but i wanna try the mods.. however, the mods is too complicated to set up! If you want mods, get DoW1:DC.They have heaps of fantastic mods there.Unlike warcraft3 which you directyly download from another user and stragiht start the game. DoW2 is never meant for modding, yet. QUOTE(Crazegamer @ Dec 21 2009, 09:12 PM) Hmm...and it looks like only me, Leo and tango post here. Im still here. What happen to the rest? tomaco, burn, cheese etc? Just that i rarely post these days. Added on January 6, 2010, 11:53 pm QUOTE Each army from Dawn of War II gets a powerful new addition to field in multiplayer games, and for the Space Marines it is the Librarian. Librarians possess psyker abilities and have been trained to harness these powers to serve the Emperor. They make for fearsome opponents on the battlefield and can use their powers to enhance their fighting abilities and to aid their fellow marines. Unit: Librarian, capable of powerful damage and support spells. Inspires surrounding space marines when killing in melee. Availability: Tier 2 Abilities: Smite – Fire lethal bolts of psychic lightning, tearing into enemies within a small radius of the target point. Quickening – Greatly increase the Librarian’s speed and his resistance to incoming damage. Upgrades: Tome of Time – Grants Veil of Time ability which temporarily increases an allied unit's movement speed and removes all set-up time from heavy weapons. Psychic Hood – Grants Gate of Infinity ability which teleports a targeted ally to the Librarian’s position. Force Staff – Grants increased knockback and disruption to the Librarian’s melee attacks. It also grants the Force Barrier ability which sends an expanding psychic barrier out from the Librarian, pushing enemies back and nullifying ranged attacks. The Librarian is a solid melee unit that can withstand a significant amount of damage while under the effects of his Quickening ability, allowing him to stay in a fight that might overwhelm or destroy other Space Marines. Once upgraded the Librarian offers a number of versatile abilities that will allow Space Marines players to respond to incoming threats faster, or move to safety when enemy forces threaten to overwhelm. This left me WTF. I thought Librarian is the 4th commander unit. Source This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Jan 6 2010, 11:53 PM |
