I tried many 3rd party themes. I found that, when message comes, the background is BLANK, which is not nice. This happens when we press the middle button for 2 seconds, brings up the running apps. The background is also blank.

The original theme's background will fade in the above situations. Is it my problem? Or all 3rd party themes are like that??
*
Yawoh i also face this problem..
I think it's the third party problem as they don't design to have background for that..
Still finding any nice theme without any bugs..lol..

thats a rubbish thread imo. plus most of us here bought the tube knowing there are defects. the problems are minor and fixable

I downloaded those Original Nokia themes (N73ME, N95 8GB, N85, N78), and I signed it one by one using the method taught in the first page. All these themes worked well (background fading) under my tube, though some original themes are too plain.

I found out skool is 0.1mm thickness, which is 0.1mm thinner than martin field.

thin doesn't mean that it's good.
we need something that is scratch proof like the proven invisible shield although it's not nice to use that

yup agreed...thinner by 0.1mm means its 0.1mm easier to get the actual screen scratched...

thicker means it's not that responsive to the touches
find something just the right thickness will do

not exactly...thicker also means reduced sensitivity of the touchscreen...IMO you should find the optimised combination of thickness and responsiveness of the touchscreen...

however, if this wasn't a touch screen phone, obviously thicker would be better...
