using 2.5" -> 3.5" sata converter/adapter enables us to use 3.5" sata hdd as 'internal/system' hdd. it will need external power adapter.

sometimes you just have to remux into mp4 container, no need to re-encode. thus, no loss of quality.
it depends on the codec though |

QUOTE(amduser @ Jun 25 2009, 07:59 PM) good for you, lossless quality with 5:1 sound output on 720p anime is no problem already, now i'm still on wireless, dont know want to pull a cable from my router to PS3 or not coz it is quite far if you got the money maybe you want to consider ethernet over powerline (eg homeplug)i wonder, what is the bitmapping typ1, 2 and 3 at the sound settings there for? |

QUOTE(gocitygo @ Jun 29 2009, 05:08 PM) I recently installed Aztech HL109E homeplug to link the PS3 to Router at the other room. I can stream the HD movies from the NAS, which also connected to the Router without problem. It can play nicely but the only problem cannot fast forward (using time) like playing file directly from USB thumb drive. The Aztech software registered the throughput as high as 80Mbps. Any idea what could be the problem/bottleneck and remedy actions. where did you get the 109E?P/S: Would like to keep all my media contents at NAS and stream to PS3. With that, I don't need to split the HD movies into 2 files due to the 4Gb limitation. ive been hunting for about 2months already and all shops say no stock Added on June 29, 2009, 5:10 pmnvm wrong info i was looking for 109EP sorry my bad This post has been edited by vorchiel: Jun 29 2009, 05:10 PM |

dmz = demilitarized zone, which put your chosen device in a no firewall status, all ports open (global port forwarding)
by putting your ps3 lan ip in the dmz settings for the p1 router, it should solve the firewall/nat problem as we2009 is quite choosy in nat type. you can get the ps3 ip assigned by the router by checking the connection settings list on the ps3 (assuming you dont have another intermediate router connecting to the p1 router) if you have another inbetween the p1 router & ps3, then the steps have to be changed a bit for availability of malaysian psn cards, refer here -> http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1051446/+780 |

it will be high if you factor in displays/sound system. prices of the games are 150-230 per title. however 2nd hand games are being sold/traded at lower prices.
if you are the type of person who plays all (or almost all) games under the roof, you may feel the heat. i seldomly buy all games on the market so i'm doing just fine with 1-2 titles every 6 months. |
