QUOTE(Paca @ Jul 1 2009, 06:00 PM)
ok my older bro jus bought a ps3..
but when i try to buy some 2nd hand games i see r1,r2,r3??
whats that?
is malaysia set can play onli r1 game?????
*
ps3 games are region-free

basically it depends on which mode of payment you are comfortable/have access to. some people have a working credit cards to pay for downloadable contents on usa psn store, and some credit cards can only be used on sg/hk psn store. for r1 & r3, there are psn cards available to topup credits if you dont have credit card. avoid r2/r4 at all cost because those psn store do not accept malaysian cc, moreover they do not produce psn topup cards at all for those psn stores. do get r2 if you are certain that you do not need to get any expansion packs in the future, as the discs for r2 are cheaper.

it was my fault for not updating this in the first post as people asks this question again and again. will edit in a moment.

2 questions, need help

1. How to toggle the buttons so that x = confirm, o = cancel
2. Why in XMB my output is 1080P but in game it's 720P ?
*
1. unfortunately, we cant. you have to adapt sad.gif
2. you can achieve that by unticking 720p in the ps3 display setting. however you might want to read this first: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry24696420

bluetooth module inside the ps3.

if you buy a new one, you must pair it with the ps3 using the usb cable. after that it will auto sync. the led at the front of the controller will show which slot the controller is using. ps3 has 7 slots for bluetooth device. hold the ps button on the controller to turn it off or assign it to other slot.

you must re-pair using usb cable if you intend to use on other ps3

but to look at the bright side, they finally accept non-malaysian model laugh.gif

that page states in general for sony appliances (tv, radio, etc). dunno it applies to ps3 or not (for repair) because for ps3 they normally replace with new units if under warranty no matter ylod or lens problem. we'll wait till this aug oct (msian ps3 1st year anniversary) to see how they 'repair' out-of-warranty malaysian ps3.

whatever it is, it will be good enough if we can send the ps3 to its original country via sony malaysia. no need to travel or bothering with courier services ourselves, although the costs may be quite steep.

see your sentences for yourself

explain 1) & 2)

because from my understanding, ppl cant simply 'choose' to to have dynamic ip. it is either dynamic or static depending on isp/package.

so ?

as long as the folding client runs, you are technically 'donating' your ps3 processing power (&time of course) to the project. however the points are given after each work unit is completed and sent back to the server. bear in mind that some work units have 2-3 days expiry date. so if you keep the work unit for a week for example (the client supports auto-resume if you close the app), you might not get the points.

as i have quite a poor imagination, i cant help without pic

i believe there are many types of switches/splitter/adapter for male/female/gender-changer for RCA<-> 3.5mm jack etc to cater for any possible configuration

youll find your solution in most hardware/electronics shop
