i totally forgot i will have an interview tomorrow with experian. i think i'll just go just to check on their office.

if i'm not mistaken it's for .NET technical support or something, their recruiter called me last month and i said i don't have any more leave until this month, last week or so the recruiter called me but i didn't pick up since i was busy with work and i received invitation email from them to come for interview.

i don't even know about the job description, when they called last month she said i need to work like 3-4 days per week 8am-8pm.

i read through glassdoor review mostly from US and it doesn't seem positive review tongue.gif

I am interviewing for a data/QA analyst position in Experian, first interview went well and i am keen to know more about the work environment. I asked a friend that work there but he does not recommend me to join Experian himself doh.gif

he told me there are frequent hiring/firing/layoff going on in the company due to very active cost cutting exercise, the company just recently quietly layoff a full department that is performing well due to business unit sell out, for profitability purpose. he also talked about harsh working environment there with poor managers in his department but I guess poor management is different from department to department. hmm.gif

can someone that work there share their work experience especially on work pressure and management style? icon_question.gif

the layoff department (division) does not do well in term of business. And, all fault is actually from parent country of the business (melb in this case). But melb choose to blame KL division, thus when Experian sell of the business, Melb somehow propose to new company to layoff KL staff. Wish the melb staff work well with their new owner now. hmm.gif hopefully melb can make profit to the new owner as they cant blame others anymore for bad business.

although not exclusive to experian, this company is very aggressive in hiring and firing people based on business needs.
it is a financially driven company through heavy data analytic by finance teams.
The reason of layoff is unlike MAS or petronas where they need to stay profitable, but more like to achieve 50% profitability instead of 20% profitability.

Its a great company to work for, the benefits are great.
Even when Shell next door is retrenching, people here still have the position in tact.

Wonder why Experian is always hiring? Here's the answers from an employee:

It used to be a great place to work for. Not anymore.
It is not just my opinion. People vote with their feet - very high turn-over rate.
None of PMs worked longer than a year.
One person (out of 12) leaves Delivery every 3 months (average).
New delivery manager has no sense of decency. Swearing, deception...
That is why Experian is constantly looking for people.
Do not expect any support from HR.

Would not recommend this place to a friend.
