if this is the second time you go for the interview (in case you applied before but failed the test or failed the interview), i would say you should be prepared to answer more in-depth technical questions as your profile is already in the database (your resume, your test marks and previous answers). in other words, you'll be tested harder. i remember there is a question in the employment form which goes something like this: "have your previous application been rejected by Experian before?".

Edit: by the way, the positions have been open since last year. it's like perpetual hiring. we never close the position. For example, Java developers position we already interviewed more than thousand candidates but we hire only the best few. Recommended a few friend of mine but sadly they failed. And a side note, your employment history is observed too. Experienced people is what Experian needs. We have several graduate trainees but even after their months of intensive training, when I personally asked their opinion on the job, they say the work is quite overwhelming.

hi alwajdi,
previously Experian hires java & php developers a lot.
recently, i saw their ads on j'street hiring .NET /C# developers,
just curious is this a change in targeted customer market ? (expanding
business into ms-based customers ? or company direction ?

I'm .NET/C# developer and sort of interested to join Experian.
can help to forward cv ? hehe smile.gif

at the beginning, Experian only hires Java developers. This is for the Decision Analytics division.

only recently we hire php and .Net developers.
targeting microsoft based customers? heck no. we never cared about that. what's that supposed to mean anyway?
i believe that technology are just tools and we should not be bound to it.

the reason for the new positions are for our recent establishment of Marketing Services division in Malaysia which those technologies are being used in the products that they have been developing. Experian is a big company with a lot of divisions and each of them have their own direction but contributes to Experian as a whole.

but sure, i can help forward your cv. smile.gif

best of luck for you. unfortunately, i am more to pure programming technical kind of guy so i cant advice you much on the post that you are applying. just make sure that you know Linux very, very well from simple server administration to complex chron job scheduling or access control, using the shell console commands or server hardening...all that stuff. that's all that i can help. smile.gif

who is the father of extreme programming? -> ridiculous? i dont think so.
the question is asking whether you are passionate about your job.
it's like you love watching football that you can match all the player's faces to their names and jersey numbers or even recite their biodata.

type of coupling desirable ->this question is ridiculous and cannot apply to daily work? since you said that, sorry to say that if I am a boss of a software house and you answered that to me, I will reject you instantly. This question is about basic software architecture dude and it is related to the job.

as i mentioned before in previous posts, you'll fail miserably for the interview unless you have the passion for software development. even if you passed (false positive cases) you wont really be able to cope with the job after you joined.

Went for the interview as PHP developer this morning at Ericsson building , when I already had other offers from other companies. Had agreed to come to the interview so I decide to not "eat my words".

But I got through the test, got through the technical interview, and straight away being offered by the HR personnel in the third interview! My interest was building up gradually the more i walk around the company. And the benefits and working culture are quite attractive.

In the end, reject all my other offers and joined Experian :-)
