Could someone help to find out something in Shift when you got your copy: I want to know how many layers of vinyls you can put.Just try to keep sticking random vinyls till you cant add anymore.

Also, how many sets of body kits, rims, spoilers and other kinds of visual parts.Even an estimation is good enough.

If the vinyl layer is more than 40,and lots of visual parts, this game is sold to me.

you seem so desperate eh laugh.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif  anyway will test out by few days time
*
Not desperate la.

There are other stuff that will influence my decision that have been covered in reviews, videos etc.

Even Laguna Seca alone is good enough for me.Plus the awesome car list. The physics and the list goes on.

Just that customisation,no one has touch it yet.

Has anyone tested Shift's customisation?

Is there any mirror for vinyls?

How many vinyls you can put?

a lot. but kinda NFS Underground'ish so I leave my car stock. Kinda hate seeing racing cars with Vinyl on race tracks. looks like shitty kiddy wannebe racer cars.
*
Still,is there mirror for the vinyls?Heard there is no mirror.

I still prefer cars to have vinyls.Cars looks much nicer if you actually put a lot of effort top do the vinyls and have a good combination of parts.Im not talking about putting a few random vinyls and decals. Here are some of my brother and I cars in Prostreet.Prostreet's tuning is one of the reason i enjoyed Prostreet so much. It's also why i hated Undercover so much because it doesnt have mirrors and only 20 layers of vinyls. It's just not enough to make a GT-like race car.

It feels more immersive to drive a fully upgraded in visual and performance cars,as most of the AI's cars are also using some vinyls. Also, some of Prostreet's race group like Grip Runner have awesome vinyl layout.

Damn,confirm no mirror. doh.gif

Actually, when u r driving in a real car, u also cannot feel that the car is going fast..... How do u know how fast u r going??? Just by looking at the speedometer..... SHIFT is actually imitating real world conditions and so far, they did a really good job in this aspect..... Last time I sat in a M5 which was driven by my fren and my fren is driving at 290km/h + turning and I dun feel that it is really fast if I look in front but when I turned my head to the sides, everything was like flashing by..... In SHIFT, same applies....
*
Exactly,i was in a CLS on 180kmph and it feels exactly like that.

not true laugh.gif correction iz below

gc: COLORFUL 8600GT OC

reso: 1280x720
windowed: off
filtering: bilinear/trilinear/2xAA/4xAA/8xAA/16xAA shocking.gif
car detail: HIGH
shadow detail: HIGH
track detail: HIGH
motion blur: HIGH
depth: HIGH

16 cars on track @ Spa

fps: 35-50 (lagi ringan dari GRID notworthy.gif thumbs up to SMS n EA)

@ 1920x1080 fps is 10-11 laugh.gif
xde pn crash. hairan aku...why b4 crash (lepas beberapa saat race start as what many others exp and posting at EA forum) when on shadow + blur.
unutk yg main guna keyboard, guna EA preset setting. pro ke, casual ke, lain2 ke..semua boleh. preset setting tu mmg untuk keyboard. grip die cukup, steering linearity cukup dan xde input lag..mmg dah nice dah EA set. kalau tune sket2 lg nice kot.

and SHIFT is what i expect it to be...a semi-sim racing game
*
Huh?

Thats a 8600GT setting for Shift???

DEMO (1,1GB):
http://www.needforspeed.com/web/nfs/downlo...ets_action=list
According to a user at EA forums the changes in the demo are et al.:
- The mouse works to change menu items and select things
- The driving force GT (and G27) have entries in the controller section)

Seems that the game is rushed that they forgot to include mouse. SMS has confirmed there will be a patch for this

Anyways some fix for the FFB settings
Seems it shares the same FFB file as GTR2 and GTR Evo, thus editing them should be easy

Just tired the demo.

Feels like Shift is even better than GRID.

The in car view is damn awesome.Really feel like you are in a car.

The sense of speed is damn good too.

The London track is hard though.

The AI is quite decent,IMO,but i think later on,i can beat them like no tomorrow.

Havent try the other 3 cars yet.

Runs great on my com.All medium, lags a little bit.

Feel like getting it now.

Seems like some people in Metacritic didnt really like it.

Too hard? No cops chases? No Maggie Q? doh.gif

I played the demo and i kinda like the game.

It's a bit too easy when i use the GTR,though. So easy to get 1st.

No matter how nice is the graphics and how the the career mode was brilliantly done, in the end, it still sucks with stupidly done driving physics.

That's my verdict of this game.

A total waste of time and waste of money. This game should be called NFS: SHIT instead. Once again I've put too much hope for another NFS sequel and the hope just got crushed badly.
*
What wrong with Shift's physics?

I find it more realistic than previous NFS.The car actually feels like it does have a grip on the ground, not completely stick on the ground like previous NFS.

Just that the weight of the cars kinda annoy me.Cars tend to fly up easily if i bang them from the back on high speed.
