My general strategy during corners is like: when you enter a corner, just tap the break a little first, then accelerate until you're at the middle point of the corner, press brake (not releasing the accelerate) until your car is stable then release to accelerate full throttle out of the corner. I found this easier to do with manual gear, but it works just as well with auto as far as I see.

For a game which is, for some reason, I feel so graphically demanding like this I managed to get a workaround for that, as an NVIDIA user.

The solution? 3D Settings in NVIDIA Control Panel. So yeah, the graphical lag I used to get especially while playing certain tracks like Autopolis Lakeside seems to have been reduced greatly. Thank goodness

For ATI users you might want to use ATI Catalyst to configure application 3D settings
