is it EASIER to drive from 3rd person view or cockpit view?

depends on you.

Cockpit view, you can judge an apex better and 3rd person, you have better view of what's happening at the back, at the cost of inaccurate entry point (which is avoidable by practice)

use bmw now. quite hard to control at first....

steering acceleration 100%

i'm using the Xbox 360 controller. all default settings.

i tend to tune the car more rather than the controller for maximum control.

just finished a nice 4 hour torture session. i have to say, i HATE the medium AI. its like they got no brains, spin you out here, spin you out there. i have enough rage right now that if the AI programmer was walking down my street, i would gladly waltz out there and bludgeon him with my wheel >:[

oh btw, i also hate london's track.

what i do LIKE is the s2000, tricky car to drive, but sweet like honey when you get the hang of it. for some reason, i thought it would be easier to drive if i got used to no assists and then switched back. for some reason now i find it easier to drive with all assists off than with any of them on

just started playing this game and found out that the ai is somewhat similiar to prostreet, they follow the best line most the time. plus, i was expecting the game would run slower than grid but turns out the fps is higher than my grid fps. btw where did all the screenshots taken in the game go? i cant find them anywhere, or do i have to use fraps or evga precision tool or printscreen to take screenshots?

I have recently found a good setting for 360 controller, here:

After applying these settings, steering control is more responsive. Go ahead and try it.

i reached lvl 39 also don have the loaner tab

for works conversion, when you are buying the car, check if there is a W icon in the car's title icon, the one which has the manufacturer logo i think. just like when searching drift cars, there's a drift logo as well.

Here's a tips I found, just wanna share it to anyone facing difficulties in handling the car.

Steering Acceleration 100%
Steering sensitivity 5%
Others set as default or as you're comfortable with
then tune all of your cars to max oversteer(max left of the bar)

Now try racing, you'll feel the difference..

BTW this works for PC, not sure about others..
