We used to talk about bad apples from this thread and here is one of them:

QUOTE(hazremi @ Feb 4 2009, 09:58 AM)
why this thread is discussing bout liverpool?feck off bout them
*
You could have just post nicely and remind the poster to get back on track about Man Utd but no, you opt to post it in such a way which put a bad image on the other fellow posters in this thread.

This is not the 1st time you behave in such a way in this thread or other threads in Football Lounge. I can still remember some of the "flame baits" that you posted outside this thread.

So my advice is, if you can't bother yourself to post according to the rules & regulations then don't bother posting at all.

Quaresma is like a Nani, technically gifted but severely lacking of a footballing brain. Scolari might know how to get the best of him, since he's worked with him before in Portugal. They lost out on Robinho last time out so needed someone to give them width and flair. Don't know if he'll be a revelation for them this season though, coz to be fair, he was practically shite in Serie A that Inter fans even boo-ed him off.

On the Keane deal, yeah, it does look like they're trying to cut their losses on the player. But isn't 12mil a fair value to pay for a proven EPL striker? Would he have cost a lot less had he gone in June? I doubt so. The Defoe injury forced Spurs' hand, or I doubt there would have been any takers this window, but in the close season, if he really wanted to go, I reckon many clubs would be wanting to take an accomplished striker in. Economic considerations was not the sole reason he left imo, Rafa wanted him off after welcoming him quite happily few months ago.

Here's a point to ponder. Pool's last game of the season is against Spurs at Anfield. Imagine if the race goes down to the wire, with Pool needing a win. Leading 1-0 with injury time to go, "you know who" pops out and finishes an exquisite strike. Friend of mine who's a Pool fan related this to me, and he swears to God he'll shave off his pubes if this happens. biggrin.gif You could almost write it up!

QUOTE(Fyrekat @ Feb 4 2009, 11:36 AM)
Why is it that some people have to come up with some disparaging remark whenever a decent discussion is ongoing? Given that our football clubs do interact with each other, it's not like any discussion regarding the other club is going to be truly off topic.

Edit: I notice the remark I'm referring to seems to have been deleted.

Some people might consider that OT as well, since there seems to be this cloud of M.U.S.T is exclusive to Utd only and all other talk is cause for walking out.

Errm I am not sure who that post is directed to but if I think it's directed to a particular person that I think it is, I do agree. It's too rigid. I always thought M.U.S.T is a place where M.U fans talk about anything football and not just anything United. Especially given the league standings, Liverpool's form and transfer dealings do have a bearing (however insignificant tongue.gif) it has. Heck, let's talk about Inter winning F all so far laugh.gif

Gulp, does this mean that we're obsessed? biggrin.gif Agree with Kobe. MUST to me is an avenue where United fans share their views on football in general, obviously from a United fan's perspective. Therefore, rival fans shouldn't expect nice things to be said about their club, like how Rafa is the best manager for Pool, like ever.

And you're telling me on a Sunday morning, you wouldn't go to Sky or Soccernet to check who's at the top of the table? biggrin.gif They are in equal measure as obsessed with out 17 as we are about their 18. Both parties just too shy to admit the mutual obsession wub.gif

And please lah, LYN fans need to use their heads. You go to RAWK and you hear someone calling Ferguson a blue-nosed cnut, smile. You go to the Caf and hear someone hoping Liverpool gets relegated, smile. It's better than the piss poor attempts of the rivals' here insulting one another 'glory hunters.' Jesus, by that definition, any supporter of any big four clubs under the age of 20 is a glory hunter? laugh.gif

Only applies to Chelsea fans. Oops.

Joking ppl, joking!

Yeah, you can't expect to come into a rival's thread to hear cherry coated comments on your players, club, manager etc. Its when it happens in the general discussions that its a lil unwanted for.

12M probably is fair value but as you know, in the summer clubs will be more likely to play hard ball with us especially if we are keen to offload him. Like you said, Defoe's injury meant Spurs were willing to close the deal at 12M + add ons. In the summer, we might only have been able to get 10M - 12M.

As for Spurs at Anfield on the last game, if the race does go to the wire and Keane scores against us, I'd personally still be a happy Red fan coz at least we pushed all the way. I'd be gutted of course, but I'd rather have the opportunity to be able to say 'so near yet so far' rather than 'out in December as usual' nod.gif

In case you're still wondering, my comment definitely wasn't directed at you. Disparaging remarks about Liverpool in this thread is to be expected as you and Hevrn have correctly pointed out. What ruffled my feathers was that we were having a decent discussion and someone ups and goes 'fish off' for discussing Liverpool.

Like you said, if MUST solely focused on Utd as if it played football in a vacuum, this place would be boring as hell. I'd definitely not bother if that was the direction of discussion here.

Alright then. Still to see though if this move comes back to haunt Rafa. You aren't exactly loaded in the striking department, and losing a proven EPL striker without getting a replacement beforehand is a dangerous decision to make. If Torres stays fit though, you lot shouldn't have a problem.

You can bet your house if that does happen (Keane scoring against you lot in the final game of the season) many will go "I told you so!"

I think its because we've pretty much established that Fyrekat is actually a female looking for attention hence her posting up close ups of someone else's (or hers?) tits. And that she secretly admire our football club and wants to switch factions tongue.gif. All the Berba-loving must have grown on him.

About Keane (the smaller one  biggrin.gif ), I pity Campbell actually. With Paly, Defoe, Bent and Keane around, Campbell has almost no chance to play. When Defoe is fit, Campbell has no chance to even sit on the bench.  sad.gif  Should have return to us and fight with Welbeck.
*
SAF should have accepted the 7m bid from Hull. Guess this is Levy's way of punishing us because of Berbatov.

It is absolutely a gamble. Although I know many who also feel that Keane didn't exactly do very much to fill in for Torres' absence, so if Torres did get injured again it's not like we're going to miss much.

I personally would have preferred him to stay till the end of the season as cover, so I'm gonna lock in my bet on the "I told you so!" now nod.gif

i'm quite sure it's because Harry wanted more established strikers. After all, the club's premiership status is on the line...

With the kinda crap going on with Liverpool owners, i'm not surprise Rafa wants control. Especially when Dennis Wise and Damien Comolli hasn't exactly shown football directors in a good light...
