RIO Ferdinand has revealed how Old Trafford's United Nations are driving Sir Alex Ferguson towards an unprecedented quintuple. United are chasing trophies on four fronts, having already secured the Club World Cup. And Ferdinand is convinced that it is Ferguson's ability to knit together a squad of so many different nationalities that is the key to their success. United have the chance to move five points clear of their closest challengers in the race for the title if they beat Everton on Saturday evening, with Liverpool and Chelsea facing each other on Sunday.

At United we've got Patrice Evra, Carlos Tevez and Ji-Sung Park and you couldn't ask for three people to be closer. "They are like triplets. They do everything together. Even shower together! "I'm joking, but the rest of the players are always looking at them and wondering how they get on so well. "Carlos is Argentinean and doesn't speak English. Ji-Sung is South Korean and barely understands English. And Patrice is French and can only speak broken English. "But that is football and it can bring people together."

I went to the game on Wednesday at Upton Park and to be honest, Manucho played really well. He has a great first touch, looks dangerous in the air and tried to lay the ball off to Hull payers on a number of occasions without success, not because his ability or lack of quality in the pass, but mainly due to a lack of understanding with those around him. Just before being subbed he had a great chance with a diving header which only narrowly went wide of the post.

Given that Hull were utterly diabolical on the night and that West ham looked very tidy and well organised, I thought he played really well before running out of steam in the 2nd half.

A diamond in a cow pat springs to mind.

He certainly looked at least of 'Diamonique' quality compared to those around him, Bullard being the exception when he came on. I've watched Hull many times over the years and of course that means games in the lower leagues, never have I seen them role over so easily. Manucho made good runs off the ball and always looked to make himself available, more so than the less than mobile Cousin. You don't always see the off the ball runs on the TV and I think if he can get some games under his belt and get a feel for the prem. Then he has something to offer untied that is very different to what we have now. He's certainly way behind Welbeck though who I think has the makings of something rather special.

FIFA don't dare to give Vida more than a 1 match ban. He woulda have whooped them all up.

This rafa-rant has gotten a bit tiring to be honest. There comes a point where one should just shut up and get on with it. FFS, if you're not playing well, you're not. Try changing what you can change and stop worrying about what you can't.

I actually like Tosic a lot. I really do. It's been a crazy weekend so far with a crazy match between City and Stoke with some crazy collision of heads, crazy De-lapse of sanity from Delap and some crazily poor attacking from Hughes. Let's hope the wanker managers Liverpool and play Football Manager: Liverpool. 

I think he's not accustomed to his role and since when we've had players who stick to a position nowadays? Our play is made up of 99 percent interchanging and movement. If Nani doesn't appreciate the art of tracking back, I can see Tosic quickly being our 11.

Manucho watch update: im watching him now, he seems to haves setteled into the bench well, looking quite comfortable at the mo, just had a stick of gum but it came to nothing.
