Isn't the match on Tuesday morning? Maybe it has been rescheduled due live coverage reasons. |

QUOTE(alien2003 @ Jan 30 2009, 07:32 PM) Original date = UK 02/02 = M'sia 03/02 morning My bad. I thought it was the other way round. After further googling, I realised it's from 3/2 to 31/01 and not vice versa.however the FA Cup replay between Everton & Liverpool means the match has been brought forward to UK 31/01 instead. |

QUOTE United’s in-form striker Dimitar Berbatov feels completely at home at Old Trafford, and says his current team-mates are the best he’s ever played with. Berbatov has every reason to be in upbeat mood. He's struck goals against Middlesbrough, Chelsea, Bolton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion (three of them match-winners) in the last month to take his tally to 11 for the season, and he’s also the Premier League’s most creative player, with nine assists. The reason for it is that Berbatov instantly settled in Manchester, while his unique style of play has been allowed to flourish freely under Sir Alex Ferguson, as Dimitar explained to ManUtd.com. “I feel completely settled here,” he says. “To be honest, I felt that way from the minute I walked into the dressing room. The boys have been great. It’s like I’ve been here for years. I was made to feel part of the team straight away, and I think things clicked quite early on. “That was a big relief for me. Sometimes if it doesn’t feel like home, you can’t adapt on or off the pitch. But it was so easy for me to settle here.” But Berbatov, who describes himself as a perfectionist, isn’t completely satisfied just yet. “I want to train hard and continue to show what I can do in games,” he continues. “Everyone here has talent, but you need to develop the talent God gives you, work hard and, with a bit of luck, you’ll succeed.” However, life is made a little easier when you have the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez, and whole lot more throughout the side. “Personally, this is the best squad I’ve been involved with. I am very proud that the manager has said this as well. My country is proud, too. For me to be here, coming from a small country, it’s a big success. You can’t get higher than the standard at United. We have some of the best players and clearly the best coach. It’s a pleasure just to be here and follow in the footsteps of so many great players.” At 27, Berbatov may be one of the more experienced members of a youthful attack at Old Trafford, but he says there is plenty for him to learn in his peak years. “I always try to improve and work on my weaknesses,” he adds. “I listen to the boss and the experienced guys in the team who have won many league titles. You only have respect guys like that, they have achieved everything. That’s one of the great things about being here. You work, you develop, improve and, hopefully, win cups and titles. I have my own style and I always play my game. With that, if I can help the team, great.” QUOTE Steven Pienaar says the thought of going to Old Trafford on Saturday is a daunting task for the Toffees. United have taken 28 points from a possible 30 in ten games on home soil this season. "Nobody goes to Old Trafford and says that they fancy their chances," he tells Saturday's matchday programme. But Everton do have reason to be cautiously optimistic at least; they boast one of the Premier League's best away records. This term they've taken a point more than United on their travels - from one game fewer, too - while only Chelsea, Liverpool and Aston Villa have picked up more points away from home. "United are top because they're in great form," added Pienaar. "But we've been on a good run ourselves and our away form is particularly strong. We'll go to Old Trafford full of confidence and we'll give everything to try and win the game." http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid=...&newsid=6626127 Man Utd v Everton preview » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « http://www.skysports.com/football/match_pr...3104152,00.html This post has been edited by alien2003: Jan 30 2009, 08:00 PM |

Everton too soon for trio
QUOTE Patrice Evra is not ready to return against Everton, according to Sir Alex. The French full-back has missed the last five games since limping off in the mid-January win over Chelsea - that being his only appearance since United came home from Japan due to suspension and latterly injury. Nani and Wayne Rooney are also not fit to face the Toffees at Old Trafford but like Evra, they are expected to be available for the trip to West Ham United next Sunday, 8 February. Nemanja Vidic is the only question mark for Sir Alex as he waits to see if the Serbian recovers from a knock in training. Fabio is fit again after missing the midweek game at West Brom and is in the squad for Saturday's match. Owen Hargreaves has enjoyed some good news on the long road to recovery in that he underwent successful knee surgery last week. Sir Alex believes the former Bayern Munich midfielder will be ready for the start of the 2009/10 campaign. QUOTE(MADReaLJL @ Jan 30 2009, 09:34 PM) rather play o'shea and brown as fullbacks.. fellaini and cahill is great in the air IMO,but i believe if we play our own game they couldnt do anything Fabio to LB - Attack and defence, Rio to cover him. Brown to CB - Evans is missing, Brown can play his natural position. If Rio starts, we might see him on RB. Rafael to RB - Attack and defence, Vida to cover him. But I would think that SAF will play Sheasy on the LB. |
