QUOTE(Kidicarus @ Sep 15 2011, 12:38 PM) Back then, without the benefit of the internet and without proper english tutorials, i just played it as a straight shooter - as in kill everything. Anyway as far as i can tell, it's keep shooting the same colour and avoid the rest to max out your score, but i'm sure that with the benefit of youtube, there are probably gonna be tons of scoreattack vids to look at for hints. I'm not convinced with psv as a viable format for shoot em ups, i tried dondonpachi on my wife's iphone and i wasn't too impressed, mostly because of the size of the screen. I'm fairly convinced that you need a full sized arcade cabinet (or at least a HD sized display) to truly appreciate a shoot em up. If only the Wonderswan was alive.... it would've been PERFECT!

As awesome as the 7cm wonderswan screen was, whenever i think about shmups on portables i go back to my horrifying childhood memories of playing R-Type on the original Gameboy. It wasn't the best port (or maybe it was my inability to get past level 2)
