Thanks for the info. By the way, have you considered to move your blog? I don't quite like multiply as I have to register to comment. Or, you limited it?
Hi hi...
I did consider this.
But most of the other blog sites don't seem to fit my tastes.
I've tried blogger, facebook, friendster....
I didn't like the layout and the user interface.
The resolution for blogger is too small for my liking (the width of the blog pages).
The only one that comes relatively close is msn my spaces.
But then spaces tend to change the color of my photos
Any other suggestions?

Hi there joeylny,
You've been quite active recently after u got ur LX3~1
kekeke
About camera settings....
iA mode is good for daylight shots.
You can hardly find any fault during daylight in iA.
But then u won't be able to do some of the more creative stuff bcoz iA generally is a "snap shot" mode.
Once u get bored, u can try A mode to control the depth of field.
This is where u learn how to manual focus.
For the best bokeh, set the aperture to f/2.0.
About the polarizers and filters....
Polarizers help reduce reflections and bring out more green n blue in scenery shots.
While the UV filter is only a protective filter, a bit similar to an ND (neutral density) filter.
Both generally reduce the exposure by 1~2 stops.
Frankly speaking, u can live without these filters.
The LX3 is already a great cam on its own.
I've been using it for 1/2 a year now without these extra stuff, and I was still absolutely happy with the cam.
But in the pursuit of getting better photos, I wanted to try these filters in Taiwan to see if they make a big difference.
