QUOTE(Shoki @ Mar 22 2009, 11:58 PM) From your link, they mentioned : i read that too. but i think it depends on how you use it. 1. Air Jacket had left numerous scratches along the sides of the chrome bezel. And they were not light nicks; the scratches were deep and numerous enough that only a thorough buffing with Brasso could remove. 2. Also, the rubberized finish proved to be quite susceptible to be scratched off, and is simply a coating over what is really a clear Air Jacket. After only five days, the rubberized finish had chipped off at all four corners of the Air Jacket. And most importantly, For a $34.95 product, the build quality of the Air Jacket is simply disappointing. Do post the outcome of your case after a week or two to see if it's really disappointing. someone i know is using the same case for a month now and exprience no such problem. i have no idea how the reviewer manage to make so much damage in 5 days. |

QUOTE(=Hanxz= @ Feb 9 2009, 02:35 PM) finally after a super long procrastination period, here's my review of the rebel artic case. @david, u should be thinking "finally eh?" 3G iPhone Casing : Switcheasy Rebel Artic Price: RM 119 when i first bought, not sure about the pricing Rating: initially it was 9/10, but over time 9/10 had dropped to the level of 5/10 Pro: Low profile, protects the whole phone Cons: Dust might be trapped often in the internals of the casing Comments: It was damn good at the starting but somehow its like the palm oil price, my impressions just keep dropping and dropping until the level of no return. I won't be doing an extensive review like the first impressions and what not but this is focusing mainly on how much the casing had endured for the phone and not the phone itself For first impressions review, you can just head over to youtube or ilounge just for the review. Just to drive my point home, i will just let the pictures do the talking all these are taken half an hour ago, unedited and resized. Results of daily usage starting from like october till now. I would like to bet, nobody is gonna support the rebel after looking at the pics first up, ![]() ![]() scratches and scuff marks all over the place after months of usage along with the ever enduring watermarks inside the casing too. ![]() look at all the grimes and vertical scuff marks made by opening the phone countless of times ![]() volume button cover had already started to rip itself off from the silicone. ![]() and lastly the infamous sag-of-the-year so WIR this casing to everyone? YES and NO, if you're a perfectionist this thing wont last in your inventory, if you just need something to protect the phone this is it but bear in mind u will feel what i feel sooner or later. it's time for me to retire this casing as well, targetting the griffin iclear and i'm hoping teikwing can give us a good review after a month long usage period QUOTE(tarpaucase @ Feb 19 2009, 02:52 PM) Wow I just saw this post and I just have to throw in my comments about this case maker. For the great injustice thas has been done to my precious iPhone 2G.. I'm bumping this post for anyone thinking of buying or already have one (you poor sod) of these cases made by Switcheasy. Dump them now before this happen to your phone (which it will eventually).I am a former Switcheasy capsule owner*(iphone 2g), and I have the EXACT SAME problems as this (dirt trapped inside scratching your iphone from the INSIDES!) - and that included a snapping lock at the back which snapped right off just as easily, the quality is rubbish. I was looking around, dunno who in this forum say the case was DAMN GOOD (damn you la more like it..!), in the end my iphone 2g ended up more scratched than my niece and nephew's collection of wii games which they throw around and sit on. I'll never, EVER buy another switcheasy case again. now i just resort to some clear plastic case that cost like Rm30-40 bucks like from pasar malam.. good enough laaaaa.. (why?! cause its already scratched like hell already.. buy whatever case also won't restore my precciiooouuussss... siiiiggghhhhhh).. damn sad case. Just a note for those who have a iPhone3G dock or intend to get one soon, try to get a case with botton case removable when u try to dock your iphone3G.
an good example will be Incase Slider Case sold in Apple Store US. http://store.apple.com/us/product/TT967LL/...&mco=MjQyMDMzMw can we find it here in Malaysia? I dock my iPhone3G everytime I'm on my desk. Previously bought a silicon case now have to use without. just using a screen protector + a small pouch case for it. |

I had 3 cases with me.. one is Capsula Neo(most expensive 1)... But end up in the store room.. my iphone is with Bodyguarz for months already... Very satisfy...
After Went through all these (not cheap for 3 of these case).. I only realise that casing is not a good idea for iphone as it adds extra weigh n size on it.. Not sure about u all.. This is my opinion.. This post has been edited by sugen: Mar 25 2009, 05:44 PM |

Is that the iGlaze 3G you were talking about? Hows it? Doesn't cover the chrome bezel right?
Also can see you have a Razer Death Adder, Sandisk Cruz, Nokia Phone and a right foot in the picture. |

![]() I have also been using a number of cases, holsters and what nots for my iphones, both 2G and 3G. Used a rebel skeleton but didn't like it so passed it to my missus and she likes it a lot for her black iphone 3G. Ending with a cheapo silicone case from Lowyat at RM15 but nice to hold and gives good protection. Maybe I will install Bodyguardz later, but for now using it with just a screen protector. |
