firz: tammy 17-50 can be found in kl..not very hard though...price around 1450...1680za is around 2500..if u are worried about the aperture, (3.5-4.5) u can get a flash...

albert:wow, i should be lucky then, i got mine around 1k only:)

havent try A900 noise control, cnt tell much..but yeah the noise control of D700 is superb!!! Try the D3 series! It is even better!!!!!!! ....i like D3 more than D700 (obviously haah)

bro kysham: Just my 2 cents, since the scenery is foggy, try changing the mood of the picture..try making it like dawn/dust...change the mood to a more mellow mood....my imagination tells me it will be better...hahah..just my 2 cents...

my noob comments...both are good cams:) i dun own them but ive tried them both

wide = camera decides ur focus point
spot = focus point in the middle
local = u decide ur focus point.

i usually use local (more control). u need adjust ur DOF to get all subject in focus.

beware of recompose oh.. some pics might exp OOF due to recompose..

Hmm, somehow i find it under-exposed....1/40 is superb. I always shoot at 1/4 or 1/10 in lo light hand held. What u need is a tripod for such shot...u need a higher f value (f=5.6 or higher) hence a fast lens wont help. just my 2 cents

i think he is not comparing. he is trying to point out the 'revolution' from D40 to D3x where the focus point has been increasing and increasing:) 2 cents saja
