QUOTE(X10A Freedom @ Jan 30 2009, 08:19 PM) hehe, i've tried that, not bad i suggest you download the keymap that assigns Menu button as "scroll down" and camera button as "scroll up" since you need scroll down more often than scroll up (and there's problem with the camera button as it's a 2 pressure point key, therefore it'll send 2 registered key to the Garmin XT when searching address which will screw it up) Do share here the custom keymap file here, or a linky to it? Very interested as not being able to scroll down after searching is driving me nuts... No such issues using the cam button to scroll with Web tho... QUOTE(scofield @ Jan 30 2009, 10:04 PM) have you guys try this? SOS 5800XM(Change your current date in the phone to 01.05.2005.) The first two tasks must be created. This is done with the following menu: >Options >New entry >To-do list Create the following two tasks in the following order: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 1.Task
*Subject: Speed * Due Date: 04.08.2005 *Priority: High
2.Task
*Subject: Qoukie *Due Date: 04.08.2005 *Priority: Low
Confirm with OK both tasks. The calendar does not close before!
Choose now the task of view on the following menu:
*Options *Task view
Set Speed first, followed by Qoukie menu is done:
*Options *Done
Under this approach, you can close the calendar and the current date back correctly.
From now should speed the navigation menu significantly increase. Also, the gallery should now be a performance boost get.
After a reboot or reset the phone, the effect is lost. After the switch, everything has to be repeated
*This is for all s60 Devices.
p/s: changed some of the content for you guys to understand..
my verdict: my menu load time now is a bit faster..and my contact list menu load instantly..try it but result may vary.. Tried it, it seems a bit faster but it can asso be attributed to the placebo effect... As after a while everything is cached and access is faster anyhow.. Updating the front page for this: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/it...XpressMusic.phpWhat to do when you get your 5800: All About Symbian guide... QUOTE(vexus @ Jan 30 2009, 10:15 PM) i delete the tsrautostart.exe, the garmin will not start up Erp... You're not supposed to delete it... Just kill it with KillMe or Best Taskman EVERY TIME after you start garmin... Some of the forumers here did say that it doesn't really effect the 5800 anyhow, I'm just killin it to free memory...

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Jan 31 2009, 01:37 AM) really? I just dont want to regret after buying it. I own e61i and E71 qwerty keypad. Now i worry only the nokia 5800 touchscreen qwerty. I tried iphone qwerty keypad i always accidentally press wrong key. The virtual keypad is generally INFERIOR to hardware keys (esp. the one on the e71i), BUT the haptic feedback (read: vibration) on the 5800 helps TREMENDOUSLY (and the iPhone, as of now, does NOT have haptic feedback)...

QUOTE(djbuzzer @ Jan 31 2009, 02:26 AM) are you sure its a bug ?? or its the hardware problems ?? but seriously for me i don't mind with the phone's camera as i usually bring along digital camera in my sling bag.. Seriously guys, in good light the cam isn't that bad... But in bad lighting, its sometimes even worse then my W810i... I got my Fate-tan with that in mind though, so not really disappointed or anything... Besides, I have my Alphy-Tan... This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jan 31 2009, 02:29 AM
