QUOTE(intune @ Jan 26 2009, 12:33 AM) the 5800xm assure me now its no n series.. menu is weak so does office side.. productivity also weak.. i need to open lots of PIM apps like papyrus,..but so far cannot install.. Touch enabled papyrus incoming in a few months prolly... also i cant get pdf to work.. i managed to install mbrainsfoftware psf plus instead of adobe acrobat pdf LE.. (dont ask me why) but the formatting output is all wrong! Need to try lots of s60 v3 apps see if it works on 5800.. but taking so much time.. also i miss smartsettings apps on the s60 ... Myself really waiting fer this (used SBSH Cal back in the WinMo days, before I turned to PI), although without the ability for ROM hacking like in the N95, can't really make it replace the default calendar as I want it to (or change the browser to Opera Mini, or delete that pesky SEARCH box from the Active Standby)... As for the undie-powered proc of the 5800, how else would you expect it to be as cheap as it is... Myself I aint no Noki fanboy, but I'd expect the multi-procs to be in the Touch Ns - beginning with the N97... This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jan 26 2009, 12:42 AM |

QUOTE(intune @ Jan 26 2009, 12:41 AM) Tried, but me no likey... I like the normal standby screen, except for that pesky search box and the 4 shortcut limitation... And handy shell --> only apps/memos for THAT day only --> not quite helpful for me... |

QUOTE(wypua @ Jan 26 2009, 05:36 PM) When the sun met the moon and reflect the light. In other word ...... When 2 combined ~ Its still no Comes With Music... Just Gramin'ed my way around KL today... Except for 1 time it went all black screen on me and 1 time I lost sat connection (and panicked) - it was a smooth, smooth ride... So on the way back I got myself a car phone holder and car charger from Lowyat, which is quite active even though its CNY hols... All in all I'm extremely happy with my Fate-Tan, even with all her flaws and quirks... Next stop, extra batts and BT keyboard! This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jan 26 2009, 06:08 PM |

Interesting accessory for our power hungry 5800s...
http://www.geardiary.com/2008/07/06/review...-from-proporta/ ![]() RM 140+- shipped (with the "FACEBOOK" redemption coupon) for a 3400MAH mobile charger that will also charge your: Sony Ericsson HP, iPod, Samsung HP; and whatever else that charges through Mini USB, Micro USB or a 4.0 DC port... I've been searching for something similar locally, and it's either AS expansive (even if its chapalang) or just plain not available... Will get it next time I get "durian runtuh" and will review fer ya guys... QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Jan 27 2009, 04:09 PM) First thing I ask about when I come to HP shops... "Do you have the BL-5J", nope so far... Plus, an extra batt would mean that I'll have to shut down to change batteries... I'm all for everlasting battery life (or at least a few extra days worth) WITHOUT ever cracking open the back cover... ANOTHER option (sows how little I open the LYN front page nowadays): http://www.lowyat.net/v2/latest/compugate-...e-chargers.html ![]() TWICE the capacity, relatively similar (only slightly inferior) flexibility... Also around RM140+-, but available locally (local product!)... This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jan 27 2009, 04:22 PM |

QUOTE(ggoo @ Jan 27 2009, 04:36 PM) Can also, but like I said... Spare battery will mean I have to turn it off to change the battery... I just want EXTENDED battery life with no pauses... An EXTENDED 5800 battery is also acceptable in that sense... I'm a bit quirky like that... Mailed the Nano Charger people already to inquire... QUOTE(snakevenom @ Jan 29 2009, 01:27 AM) Seriously man, lol... Testing some more configs with Virtualkey + Web for some fullscreen, hardware button driven action... Working so far so good, except the fact that the "enter/return" key ain't creating new paragraphs AT ALL in Web... --> Something like this... Opera Mini can do it, why not Web? Would run OM full time if it doesn't die like half of the time... Ah, the good and bad of everything... This post has been edited by Eiraku: Jan 29 2009, 01:49 AM |
