not all VTECs are performance VTECs... theres more to just performance for the VTEC system

engines like the D15B the VTECs are meant more towards fuel consumption with a slight increase of power.

if performance is wat u want... u need to look at the DOHC VTECs... not SOHC.

especially the B and K series. H n F are also pretty good engines though not as popular as the B n K series

and original EG9 comes with B16A...so yes to ur question

can someone help me. I want to buy a honda civic ferio EK3 Vi. D15B 3 stage v-tec SOHC. is it ok? maintenence, fuel efficency, power, speed... can anyone guide me
*
this is an A-B car.
good for ladies and guys.

here is a little guideline in general about honda engines.

3-stage SOHC VTEC = fuel efficient
3-stage DOHC VTEC = performance engine

FYI the hybrid models use 3-stage vtec too but is sohc....so u get what i mean? nod.gif

if u want the KING of B series either go for B16A (EK4) or B16B (EK9)...happy hunting brows.gif

i hardly think the B16s are "KING"s of B series....

the B18C Type R is a better platform (no replacement for displacement)...even the B18C GSR is a very good platform even with its slightly different head configuration.

and lets not forget the B20B hybrids. whistling.gif

and FYI.. Hondata can only be installed onto OBD1 ECUs... aka EG ECUs

Type R the front part you change whole bumper and sacrifice your foglamp... While Mugen front part is only a add-on just like the side and rear skirting.

For bodykit expert and best price, go GC Motorsport... They are expert in all FD bodykits.

If you can stretch your budget, go for Mugen RR bodykit.

i think those rm1200 is using PU/Fibre material bodykit.
don't really recommend those materials easy to break, looks ugly and need to adjust to install.

yes go for GC.
they're the only ones i know now that have PP typer bodykit, others is PU.
the way they install the mugen kit is also not so "keras" no knocking and forcing.
the mugen lips they have all are bolted on your original bumper and side skirt without drilling.
all using original bolt holes and two way tape only.
