i'm a user of '97 standard v-tec ej7 civic n recently just converted from auto to manual transmission, my prob is the idling n rev of the engine become not smooth n gila. sumtime high n sumtime ok. My frend said that i need to setting back the ECM? is that true? any recomendation workshop to do so? can anyone help me!!

i suspect the throttle body is giving problem. 2ndly is the distributor or the plug cable. nod.gif
btw i m look for a used civic bullet manual. any members wanna sell their car? 1 2 buy it as my 2nd car. drool.gif

fyi this prob happen rightly after i change the transmission. probably could be TB prob? hmm.gif

what engine may i ask?... might be caused by the ECU... tried resetting ECU?...

should be B-series engine

the problem is because of the IAT sensor for the idling issue, try to clean your IAT sensor and do a reset with unplugging the battery off for 15 minutes

sensor i not sure... to reset the ECU u just unplug ur negative terminal then step on brake for few secs to deplete any capacitors then leave it for 15-30minutes... then after that replug ur negative terminal, start engine and leave it for 10-15minutes... then done... smile.gif
