dude OP's title did ask "is it an ipod touch contender?" soo i chime in to give it my 2cents worth tat i dont think soooo. and insted of jus opting it as my opinion, i gave wot i thought was very valid reasons why tis sony isnt an touch contender.

a lot has come and proclaim as the ipod contender...
but none has succeed so far... not even close... maybe the ipod's sq is on the sucky side... but most ipod touch's users dun really care... all the other features more than make up for the lack in sq... especially the multitouch screen... this is where most touch enabled players will fail big time! although i have the touch... i would like to try sony for once...  |

Tommorow the X Walkman (demo set) will be arrived at Sony Style BTS & KLCC. Go check it out. Probably they gonna display the day after tommorow.

If you want a MP3 player that looks stunning in your hands and is feature packed, get the iPod Touch. But if you're looking for an MP3 player that does not compromise on SQ and has a simple interface, get a Sony. |

well, although sony has better SQ (no doubt about it), but i somehow missed my ipod touch.. dont get me wrong, i m using s738f now.. but its just that ipod touch interface is friendlier and can support lossless files..

its the looks... when u r using a sony...u kinda look cheap.. when u r using an ipod...u look a bit kaya... this is to those u dont know la... although the price is similar... |
