QUOTE(CuteLioness @ Mar 7 2009, 04:15 AM) Please help! Having done an internet-wide search, this was the only place I found anyone who mentioned PB_Backup files and seemed to know what they were talking about. I currently have an HTC Diamond (don't have a go, I THOUGHT it looked a good phone...! lol), but previously have always had SEs. When my HTC diamond (no memory card, only internal storage) randomly deleted EVERYTHING the other day, I went back to my old W810i to recover the contacts that it had on it, and at least salvage some of my numbers. As I was starting to transfer them via bluetooth, the W810i gave up the ghost for good. Now all I have is the few phone numbers that made it, and the Memory Stick Pro Duo from the W810i, which I bought a Card Reader to read. It has a file called PB_Backup on it, which I am sure is the one that holds all my precious information, but when I open it on my PC using Outlook, it only yields one contact, the first one in my phonebook. Please, please, tell me there is a way to revcover all the numbers from this file? If I transfer the file onto my HTC will it magically make all my numbers reappear? PLEASE HELP!!! I am at my wits' end!! If you have PB_Backup.vcf file. You can copy it into another SE phone which can restore from Memory Stick into X:\MSSEMC\System\PIM\ folder. Go to Contact on your SE phone > Options > Advanced > Restore from M.S. Not sure about using the PB_Backup.vcf file on a Windows Mobile from a SE phone. You can try and see what happens. QUOTE(Duckies @ Mar 8 2009, 11:07 PM) Ori...i am buyin from a shop in supermarket..it's selling for 1750..cheapest i can find in Ipoh..all shop selling 1.8k+..my fren say cannot trust wo..so cheap. Most important! Check production week on the sticker in the phone near the sim card slot. Anything below 08w50 got problems. Try to get a 09wXX production week means is 2009 build. Also remember the original accessories: SE handsfree, Sandisk 2GB M2, SE M2 to USB reader, SE data cable, handphone strap with Cybershot and SE written on it. QUOTE(ian90 @ Mar 9 2009, 06:25 PM) how long does it take for them to service ya? Less than half a day they called me to collect but I was not nearby and they closed at 5:30pm on Saturdays and when they called was already 5:25pm. I brought my C905 to the Maxicom in Taman Segar, Cheras. I find their service very good.

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Mar 10 2009, 02:31 PM) mid valley's sony centre just called my GF.... Tender Rose is out less than a month after bought her C905 now thinking whether or not to sell and buy the Tender Rose anyway....already sent my c905 to service center in uptown... hopefully things gets fixed fast.... currently using my ol reliable w810i....and even though i feel weird SMSing with that phone i can still SMS faster with it....the keypad for c905 aint that nice to SMS compared to the w810i man.. Better not change cos you be making a loss by selling the current. Then getting the same phone but different color and paying the difference is not worth it lor. Unless you got extra pocket money to spend then its another case.

QUOTE(ian90 @ Mar 10 2009, 08:45 PM) im worried that the SE center ppl go change my phone la... :/ coz i heard alot of place they take out components la, change old parts la, this and tat... Don't think authorized SE service center will do that and ruin SE's name. Not those listed in the warranty card. I think it's those shops that fixes AP sets will do that more. Happened to my cousin once for his AP SE phone. He took there to install chinese enabled firmware. In the end the bluetooth module was missing but got chinese firmware.

QUOTE(saukoon @ Mar 11 2009, 03:59 PM) if you've been following up the C905 thread, you can see that C905 produced before 08 week 52 have the speaker problems, this applies to both AP and Ori for my case, I bought the later batch of C905 AP, and so far everything is working great... so again, Ori and AP don't really differ in terms of quality Yes there is no difference in build quality for Ori and AP. But there is a difference in the warranty provided by both So its up to the buyer which they want to buy. This post has been edited by blurjoey: Mar 11 2009, 04:54 PM

QUOTE(simplyting @ Mar 11 2009, 06:13 PM) this phone i really regret buying...not a smartphone nor a syambian phone i can't install garmin gps inside because it run by a-gps so cost my credit if i use... =.=" and currently having wifi problem anyone can help? seem i can't even detect any wifi anywhere at hotspot...even i restart many times....but 1 week after bought all goes very well...after 1 week all problem come out d...and i did buy my phone at sony erisson shop =.=" 1 question - Didn't you research and test the phone first before buying and discovering that its not a smartphone, symbian phone etc? You can turn off A-GPS to save your credits but when searching for address it will still use the 2G/3G internet. Have you updated your phone to the latest firmware?

QUOTE(nixonyang @ Mar 11 2009, 08:47 PM) the update its just some bug fix, now my phone is very respnosive. nothing new added I think that's just the update for the SE PC Suite and not for the C905. I also got the update when I open the SE PC Suite. I've checked with SEUS and there is no new update after the major update in February. Have you updated with the February update? Added on March 12, 2009, 7:27 pmQUOTE(nixonyang @ Mar 12 2009, 07:18 PM) there is another minor one Don't think so as SEUS says my C905 got the latest firmware R1DA032 SE PC Suite don't update firmwares for SE phones SEUS does This post has been edited by blurjoey: Mar 12 2009, 07:46 PM

QUOTE(lim47 @ Mar 13 2009, 02:55 PM) Huh? Got problem ??? Where got ? He means the common problems of the C905 for those manufactured before December last year. Also no phones is without its own problems la. Why so shock? Have you been reading the forum ka? A few C905 owners got mentions some problems they are facing. C905 cannot turn on at all, cable for the slider broke, keypad hard to press, etc. All this are problems with the C905. Added on March 13, 2009, 3:46 pmQUOTE(used2bcow @ Mar 13 2009, 03:40 PM) Has anyone changed any parts at SE service centre and require to pay? I dented my strap holder and went to the SE Service Centre to ask if can change. They say will get back to me in 2 days but did not, so i had to call them a week later to find out that supposedly i need to change the whole housing just for one small part like the strap holder and require me to spend around rm60 to rm80 for the housing...duno if got service fees or not...oh yeah mind is ori....the SE service centre at Sunway pyramid. My gf changed the silver side part of her S700 for free last time when it got scratched badly from a fall. Also the keypads when all broke in halves. It's ori and under warranty. All done in Maxicom SE Service Center in Taman Segar, Cheras. Maybe you can try the SE Service Center in Amcorp Mall. This post has been edited by blurjoey: Mar 13 2009, 03:47 PM
