Anyone experience this problem with their C905? All a sudden on a call the C905 will disconnect and you hear the unable to connect tone. Then you can see on the C905 the call but pressing on any keys won't do anything. After it hang for awhile it will say "Busy tone sent".

Added on May 7, 2009, 7:37 pmi tried Nimbuzz and mobile opera. But both of them fail to connect to internet. I connected to my house WIFI with high signal yet they coudnlt connect. Why is it?
*
Did you allow your Java programs to connect to internet?

You will get Wayfinder 8 when you update the firmware of C905.

u got the phone on hand or not?
go to "Location Service > Settings > Assisted Start > Never

using this method GPS fix is absolute free*
*= free for u to know location, speed, and anything related to global positioning like geo-tagging. Also free with GPS based software that do not use internet data like Tracker, PostItMe, Trekbuddy.

*= wont be free if u use it with applications that require internet data, such as Google Maps, Wayfinder Navigator** , or any GPS based software that uses internet connection.
**= somehow for Wayfinder Navigator, u can preinstall Malaysia maps to reduce internet data usage. (lower GPRS/3G cost)

wink.gif
*
You can download the maps on to the M2 for WayFinder, this will save 2G/3G downloads for the map. A few members have uploaded the zip file for the Malaysia map in this thread. Or you can go to www.wayfinder.com and download Maploader to download the maps to your M2.

But 2G/3G still will be use when search for a place in WayFinder.

If you are using Maxis postpaid, there is a Maxis Mobile Internet 5MB Package in Value Added Services that you subscribe for RM8 per month. Good enough for searching address and using A-GPS incase there is no GPS signal.

guys, is it we AP phone now can direct update using SE phone software direct update without need to change the IMEI??
*
Not sure. Never buy AP before.

But I do know that you might need to wait for the update from the country that the phone is from. So the update could be early or delayed.

updating software, this could be a major firmware update. did you guys collect dust in the opening of the phone? mine got a lot.
*
You should check the bottom part of the lens cover (the part that goes into the phone when you slide open). You'll be very surprised also.

Added on May 27, 2009, 11:27 pmI found that they added lots of language to write in now compared to last time.

Got german, english, french, dutch, indonesian, malay, filipino, thai, vietnamese, chinese simplified, javanese and sudanese.

Anyway this update seems to be a minor update.

Found this in esato

I found:
- new look of incoming message
- faster connection to satelite (in old FW i couldn't connect from inside my apartment, now there's no problem with it)
- better WiFi signal catch-up (finally I can connect to some hot spots that I couldn't earlier)
- media works faster
- the new FW is not compatible with HPM-85 headset (I wrote to SE about this problem, let see what they say)

Everyone here bought their c905 end of last year and beginning of this year.

The keypad will be a main issue. It will lose tactile feedback if you use the keypad too much. There are a few who have changed their keypad twice but lucky it is under warranty.

You can try to get a 09w15 and above c905 and let us know if you encounter any problems.

my firmware R1DA032, seems ,like old one but got smile shutter function.
Just curious if the logo on the screen is "vodafone", not "cyber-shot", any meaning?
And is it better to take out the memory card while the phone is ON? curious..
*
Your phone is AP using customized Vodafone firmware. Vodafone is a provider like Maxis or DiGi in other countries.

You need to de-brand the phone to use normal SE firmware.

The M2 is hot-swappable. Meaning can take out when the phone is on.
