You said u feed him barf right? since when? did he just started to eat his poo soon after u fed him barf of when u feed him kibbles he got eat his own poo as well?

Mine was fed by barf since the day she can eat by herself and until now she never encounter things like this. In fact she's one cleanest dog as whenever she pee or poo on the pad she will soft bark to tell me to clean the pad smile.gif

oic... the jab can be start later one ar?
coz when i bring back my maltese he edy taken the first jab.. so i gotto continue it every month.
today will be his 4th jab...
hehe... im new maltese owner here...
nice to meet u ;D
*
4th jab? If by the time you bring him back home he's already finish 1st jab then u can just finish the rest 2. But if u're not sure then u can start from 1st jab and so most probably ur dog will finish his jab for the 4th time smile.gif

Welcome to maltese family smile.gif
people been come and go these months LOOL
post picture about ur pup and his name as well so we can know more your pup =]

lisia : I'm not sure about ur dog behaviour, cuz normally some dogs who fed by kibbles will have this behavior as they can still smell of food from their tools but since u said u fed him barf then u can try to ask ur vet or seek another advice as me myself also not sure about this smile.gif

sinv : nothing happen xD was thinking if my girl lonely by herself... but then I guess most prob I maybe not take Fortune home le T~T

Hi.. sorry ya... din notice.. log in ID is my bf (toytoy). I had posted my maltese's photos last few weeks here. His name is Touffy. biggrin.gif

he got his first jab about 2 mths old. so after 3 jabs is 4 months. Vet said is better to hav the last jab at 4mth old.. so better take one more lor...
still thinking to take 9 in 1 or 6 in 1 (previuosly he is taking 6 in 1).  smile.gif
*
If not mistaken my girl 1st jab is around 1 month plus which nearly 2 months old just took her 1st jab and finish her 3rd jab on early this year when she was about 3 months plus smile.gif

about the vaccine rite, I kinda forgot mine is 9 in 1 or 10 in 1 but my advice is better to use the newest one. I mean if u confused between 6 and 9, I would suggest to take the 9 in 1 cuz it cover more virus and I think it advisable to vaccine 9 in 1 rather than 6 in 1 smile.gif

does it work? cause i ask some people, and they said my dog 3 years old d. so it might be quite hard to use
*
As long as you train your dog with patience I think there's no poblem.. but I cant say anything since I never such encounter before cuz my dog was trained with the pad ever since she able to do her business alone. Cant guarantee as well.. but then I may said you could try it first. But of course you need to train your dog and bring him to the pad whenever he wan to do his business. Repeat few times until he got the knowledge that the pad is his toilet smile.gif

The bone is like the chicken bone left after we eat the chicken, not purpoesely cooked for him. But this is given to my large normal breed dog.
I don't give my furkids eat bones at all coz its not good for them
*
referring to other post... bone is good for them but not the cooked bone sweat.gif
I've been feeding my dog with raw food and bone together for almost a year...
and based on ur story, I assume those bones that u fed ur dog is cooked bone as u said its not purposely cook for them but the one that u guys eat. That is called cooked bone and NOT GOOD for dogs cuz the bone can choke them. but uncooked bone is softer and good for them to chew. Mine like to chew the bones and good for the teeth as well..

Hope u understand.. but no offence thou.. since me n some of us fed barf aka raw food to our kids we just want to share our knowledge to some other ppl. But if u still think that bone is dangerous then I will just let u judge it urself then smile.gif

from my point of view, it is normal that the injection part is painful.it will last for a couple of days till around 1 week.if possible, try not to touch ur furkids at that particular area...it hurts a lot..i leave my maltese alone after the vacination for a couple of days until he is ok to play...dun worry to much.. smile.gif
*
In this case we can't just ignore n left him be like what it supposed to be...
cuz Jordan redo his vaccination, it's really a miracle that he actually still alive and live well till now...
so even if its normal for other dog, we need to take extra caution for him cuz he easily got seizure and I don't want to see him in much more pain than before T_T

Jenny : Hope everything goes well... I miss him so much sad.gif
do update me bout this k? His sister miss him too smile.gif

Hi All ,

I just got my new maltese ..... 6 months old ....name her " SHORTY" ...

Just wanna ask the expert here , if my maltese ears is is lightly brown , is she pure breed ?

I tot tht maltese suppose to be all white .....feel like got cheated when i brought her home and notice tht her fur got some light brown colour
*
Not all maltese are snow white actually sweat.gif
the brown patches came from the parents gene... the brown patches will fade away following the growth of the pup..
My girl has LOTS of brown patches which came from her dad, Gizmo and Gizmo has no more brown patches but girl gene seems to be a lil diff from her dad LOL

If you still unsure bout my explanation u can view my girl pic smile.gif

From the day I took her she looks like this

yeah ...my shorty like ur girl ...the ear a bit brown ......but seems to me the last pics no more brown wo ....

tht mean is normal lar ...i tot she already mix breed d ....

make me feel better now  .... tongue.gif
*
Hahaha actually when I know bout maltese breed I thought all malteses are born with snow white fur, means only have white color...
but then I met Gizmo and his owner told me that some maltese who has strong gene apparently will have brown patches on their fur, but it will soon fade away with the growth of the pup.. and so I book my girl without even view her once wkwkwkw

but lucky for me, I like her so much eventhou some ppl said she doesnt act n look like a maltese! lool

Ur girl super pretty and her fur very white .....what shampoo u use for her ?
*
I tried 3 brands actually xDD
at first, I'm using CC White on White to maintain her white fur.. but then I realize the shampoo might to strong for her as her fur became so dry so I tried another brand called Yu shampoo for white dogs and it was really good as it smells nice and her fur start to have a lil bit improvement.. I also have 2nd choice of shampoo called Nature Choice, one for whitening dog or something like that. I like this shampoo cuz the effect sometimes can even last till a week xD its like I can still see my girl so white even a week tongue.gif

I have both Yu n Nature choice brands of shampoo but currently using Yu... also I did use some conditioner n other touch up after shower n dry her up to maintain the soft n smooth fur kekekeke

btw, any picture to show off ur pup?
