my box still says its the 1st batch...and I checked the IMEI, it was made in the Emirates

Type * # 06 #

After you enter the code you will see a new code contain 15 digits:

43 4 5 6 6 1 0 6 7 8 9 4 3 5

IF the digit number Seven & Eight is 02 or 20 that mean it was assembled in the Emirates which is very Bad quality :~ (

IF the digit number Seven & Eight is 08 or 80 that mean its manufactured in Germany which is not bad

IF the digit number Seven & Eight is 01 or 10 that mean its manufactured in Finland which is Good

IF the digit number Seven & Eight is 00 that mean its manufactured in France which is the best Mobile Quality .... :~)

don't know the trueness of this tho =)

Nokia 5800d - 1 Red

the "1" represents the batch number according to someone who posted here a while back...

Hmm... Was revelling in the wonder that is the Jabp suite... Great java finance software that runs on your 5800 (J2ME) AND your Laptop, PLUS it can sync data between the two... hmm.gif

And I thought Java was only notable for the bloat... hmm.gif

Hmm... I think the -1 indicates the variant. For example most of the N95 sold in Asia Pacific were N95-1. Then we have N95-2 which was meant for North American region (if not mistaken). There were reports of N95-3 which has a larger battery and without the camera cover but this isn't the N95 8GB we're seeing here.

Well you have to listen to one of these setup to realize what you have been missing all this while. Yes they are expensive but they will only offer value if you 'value' the improvement in sound quality. One of these IEMs will definitely change your perception in music quality easily.

If not mistaken this is totally wrong.According to a blog i've read nokia has no factory in emirates. And nokia had closed their factory in germany few years back ago(all these facts are from a blog i've read so not sure true or not also)

The best way to check where is your phone manufactured from is to check the box. Mine => Made In China, that explains everything. MADE IN CHINA.

About 5800-1, 5800-2 being 1st batch, 2nd batch, Wikipedia says something else... ?

Dual band UMTS / HSDPA: UMTS 900 / 2100 (5800-1) or UMTS 850 / 1900 (5800-2 Latin America and Brazil variant)

For those who were playing that Java game and had to press the spacebar to proceed to the next level, try this keymap file for Virtual Key. To install Virtual Key, search in this thread for instructions.

I haven't tested this, so please leave feedback if it works, or not. This is the same keymap file for the latest tutorial for installing Garmin Mobile XT posted earlier, and maps the volume down to the spacebar key. To load, "Options" - "Load mode" - "Custom mode 3".

And remember to include the Java game under the "Include" tab in Virtual Key.

Attached File  custom3.keymap.zip ( 155bytes ) Number of downloads: 15
