Tip: Signing Symbian applications online. However, not all applications can be signed this way, but try this method first to see if an application you want to install can be signed.

Tutorial updated to make it easier to install Garmin Mobile XT.

Updated tutorial on installing Garmin Mobile XT on 5800 XpressMusic.

Virtual Key software configuration now includes four key mappings:
- green button maps to left soft key (unchanged from previous configuration)
- red button maps to right soft key (unchanged from previous configuration)
- hardware camera key maps to down key (unchanged from previous configuration)
- hardware menu key maps to up key (*new*)

Known limitations:
(1) cannot enter house number to search (useless with Malaysia map anyway AFAIK)
(2) in landscape mode, map looks a "little strange"

Why limit your 5800 to being just a phone? It can be a BT GPS receiver. Why use Garmin on a small screen? Use it on your PC/notebook/netbook with a much larger screen, using your 5800 as a BT GPS receiver!

For those who were playing that Java game and had to press the spacebar to proceed to the next level, try this keymap file for Virtual Key. To install Virtual Key, search in this thread for instructions.

I haven't tested this, so please leave feedback if it works, or not. This is the same keymap file for the latest tutorial for installing Garmin Mobile XT posted earlier, and maps the volume down to the spacebar key. To load, "Options" - "Load mode" - "Custom mode 3".

And remember to include the Java game under the "Include" tab in Virtual Key.
