If everyone says combine, then 8GCC won't be established till today. They could have combined with existing Civic Club.

some say 8Gen civic club is establish becoz there are misunderstanding in the civic club...
so,they come out n form their own club... smile.gif

I get your view point on this matter.
I think I've said it somewhere in this thread, maybe page 2 or something that we should and can be affiliated to Team City as it will be useful in the events we need to voice our concerns to Honda Malaysia. But I think the reason why we want to 'create' this Club was more to having gathering and discussion with people using the same car. The problems those face from 1G and 2G City(s) might and will be different to that from the 3G. I guess we're open for suggestions on a couple of things
1) Creation of a stand-alone club with affiliations to Team City
or
2) A sub-group for the 3G be created under the purview of Team City.

In terms of Ah Bengs, I'm not the 'voice' of the others, but I agree IMHO that there will be no way we can prevent anybody who wants to join.. As long as they have the same interest as the collective group, I think that's alright. So far so good, all those who have signed up are rather decent smile.gif

yo,in teamity also a lot of UOTT are being held almost everyday in a week.
regarding the discussion with people using the same car, there sure will have special thread for 5G city rclxm9.gif

If this club merges with TeamCity, then count me out. TeamCity focuses most on City, so I guess I'll just leave for good if that really happens. smile.gif

Of course clubs focus most on their model only. But I'm sure that they're strict against other models. They don't allow other models to join them.

hmmm.. lets all take a chill pill..
im sure tht all clubs focus on their models. well some dont actually.
but the point is, what will be your reason for joining a car club?
merely for a show off? thts fun but as for me the friendship is the most important issue here, we share knowledge and good deals amongst ourselves.

so lets not start on the wrong foot.
i dont see it benefiting anyone.
my sincere introduction wishes to everyone here
cheers,

White is cool, but hard to maintain. White cars are nice, no matter what car it's.

Hmm.. just when I decide not to religiously check up on the HC3 & Offical Thread ('cos of work commitment), I've come to notice some rather unique responses from certain quarters.

I'll try to answer the itching question quickly (currently at work now)

1. Why don't we merge with Team City?
As the polls suggest, most of the NHC owners would like to have their own club so that they can discuss matters relating to the current version. I reiterated what I said earlier (see the post where somebody quoted me before), that the issues and niggles faced by the 3G might be different from that of the 1G and 2G. That can be clearly seen in the current thread.

Also to follow up, there is some sort of rigidness in joining TC (this can be seen in its forums) being the official Honda City club (truly understandable as TC needs to be stringent with its application), that's why another reason to create this club was to do away with the red tape and be more fluid to changes and movements in members. In short, this was the easiest option to pool together the interest City owners in the shortest amount of time.

So at this juncture, we are still a standalone entity, but we would definitely like to be affiliated with TC ie. organising events etc (I speak for myself actually..hehe) or if circumstances permit, a sub-group to differentiate the HC generations be created under TC when everything settles down. As I quote alot of you guys out there, I think the reason why ppl join car clubs is to transcend boundaries to make new friends and appreciate our rides

On a lighter note, thanks Steven for giving me a buzz. Nice talking to you.
Looking forward to meeting up with the bunch of you at TC later tonight so that we can pool ideas with the others
attending or participating on future endeavours between clubs.
