Yah, with the 3M Paint Protection Film.. don't think at Shine N Shield they will do anything 'cos the treatment will not do anything to the 'film'.
So if you want to do it, need to ensure that your paint is glossy and clean (which I think the shop: PaintShield) will do it.

It's very expensive.. I asked them to quote me just for the (Front Bonnet, Front Bumper & Side Mirrors"
I might ask them to quote me again for the Full Front Bumper only since that's the price which is more prone in getting stone chips

I checked with Raymond earlier. Even if you don't go back after 6 months, the warranty is still valid.
He said for ASM, it's the easiest color to maintain. Usually can last 7 - 8 months before it needs to be "enhanced" through the maintenance.
So that's good news for us. smile.gif

Did you get a free washing cloth? The green one.
He gave me one, the big one (2 small one attached together)

and since I bought his car shampoo (RM40), he gave me another washing cloth (small one)..

shocking.gif So expensive to do the 3M scotchgard...!?!?!!! For the full coverage price can get a whole new coat of paint liao... sweat.gif

Are there any bulk discounts? If there is maybe can see how much cheaper it is, I might be interested to do the bumper protection + headlamps & foglights...

Yeah, I got a free washing cloth as well... I didn't buy their shampoo, will finish the one I have at home before I get the one at SnS..

Hey Andy..
think the TT won't be taking place this coming weekend. Since we don't have a crowd at the moment.
Currently the tentative date would be the 21/2.
Hopefully by then we will have more ppl receiving their NHC.

P/s: also 'cos I might not be around this coming Sat sad.gif

Sure got! Keep the car at home and not drive it! That way confirm no stone chips. Stone chips are a part of driving and almost unavoidable, unless you have the dough to splash on Scotchgard. And if god forbid, the car gets into an accident (major or minor) on the bumper, have to peel off the Scotchgard or else cannot paint over them. After that, apply another layer of Scotchgard again ah? Lots of money spent, ain't it?

I think all of us sayang our new cars but I think we also shouldn't go overboard. Let's just enjoy the ride that our new cars will provide us and take good care of them.

Well, I don't think it's overboard. Spending on bodykits and rims or induction / exhaust mods will cost more than this Scotchgard. At the end of the day, I guess it's an individual preference. Some prefer a nice clean and polished stock look, that's why people put PPS or wax their car often and perhaps Scotchgard it. nod.gif

ULTRA RACING (UR)

Front Strut Bar
Mounted at the front chassis for strengthening purposes. To eliminate all the suspension noise and more stability during acceleration, hard driving and braking ( simulating race track conditions ).

Rear Strut Bar
Mounted at rear section of the car chassis (boot). Similar to the function of the front strut bar. The rear strut bar is use to support the rear section of the chassis, so that the force generated during hard braking and driving can be reduced.

Side Fender Bars
Installed at the left and right side of the vehicle wheel arch or fender. Fender bars can give extra support and strength to the chassis especially during cornering.

Room Bar
To strengthen the upper middle part of the vehicle body, at the B-pillar area.

Rear Upper Bar
Mounted at the rear passenger seat. Basically the function of a rear upper bar is used to support the rear section of the chassis, so that force generated during hard braking and driving can be reduced.

Anti Roll Bar
Anti Roll Bars (also known as anti-sway bars, sway bars or lower tie bars) affect the handling of the car on the lower end of the suspension.

Lower Arm Bar
It is installed at the lower mounting points between the left and right suspension and the vehicle chassis. Tremendously improving the stiffness at the area where the lower arm is connected to the vehicle chassis.

-available for various car model.
-life time warranty by Ultra Racing

Hi guys.. just wondering whether anybody is interested in getting some UR strut bars for your NHC?
I'm thinking of getting the 2 Point Front Strut Bar and maybe the Lower Arm Bar. So, if anybody is interested,
do let me know 'cos we can get a Group Discount if we buy more. smile.gif

From one of the forumers here in LYN.
1. 2-point front tower strut = RM150 -160
2. 4-point front tower strut = RM165 - 175
3. anti-roll bar 16mm = RM330 - 340
4. 4-point lower arm bar = RM190 - 200

These are the prices I've asked so far the our NHC, pre-discount. I guess if there are ppl interested, I can ask the % discount.

There's actually one bad thing about the 3M scotchgard or clear bra. If you go near the car, the protection film is quite obvious.

Also don't waste time with 2 point strut bar, want to do then do 4 point and make sure your car boot has a bar installed too. I think you can also go for 19mm instead of 16mm ARB, better handling. It's best to do this one month after you've gotten your car, that way you will feel the difference immediately.

Yea.. I've seen it before, and as u said.. if you go close.. you can see it. Anyhow, most likely won't be going for it. I'd probably best be spraying the bumper if I'd any chips. It'll be cheaper than the clear bra.

I'm thinking of the 4-point strut bar, front & rear lower arm bar & the anti-roll bar. does the 3mm extra (19mm and 16mm) make a big diff?
Now need to gather some members first for cheaper rates..hehe

I understand the front strut bar and lower arm bar but the rear strut bar I don't quite understand. The rear strut bar is fitted in the boot right? Wouldn't it block space meant for luggage/storage? Can be quite inconvenient right? Never seen it before, so don't know what it looks like fitted.
