Yup. pretty much like Airasia with Aussie chicks on board  n for female; hot guys laugh.gif (tats jettsie)
Delays occurs depends on weather & technical stuffs.
Just hope you dont get into it. smile.gif

Sydney is close, you can even take night train there if you want smile.gif

train more exp than airplane..i saw $28 1 way from melb-sydney via tiger but heard many bad comments about it..

for $28, you shouldn't be complaining too much about it........

and yes, trains are more expensive than lcc, but they bring you from city center to city center.......factor the cost of airpoet taxi/shuttle, may work out the same.......
*
but by train is kinda long..i think waste half day..
i prefer fast to reach..i hate long journey...
nvm then..i will figure out whether to buy or not biggrin.gif

people will comment here & there. Same as airasia; but still they are in business.
yup. smile.gif
its abt 12 hrs, bring your lappie.. get a good seat...take the night train; & you can sleep. else you will get bored out well looking at cows & plain field
*
i dun think i will go for 12 hours journey if thr is a way tht can reach more faster..n wasting my half day for taking train..
n i doubt train is wifi enabled..so if bring lappie without connection is just useless for me nod.gif

I only applied to 3 uni so its easier for me to make decision. Btw, any specific info that i need for bank draft? 1st time using bank draft.
*
if u paying bank draft to your uni then ur offer letter should got write who to pay..like payable to bla bla
but u can straight away go bank and say wan buy bank draft and payable to ur uni..then they can help u process

i know..but usually not for NEW student..well, at least monash and RMIT not..
i was once wanted to pay the fee along with offer letter with CC but they dun let for new student..they prefer more to bank draft which will make them easier to process/refer while processing(although slower to clear payment)
but then after i pay for my 2nd semester fee,i got many options to pay the fee which u mentioned but i still pay with bank draft(due to some problem on CC)

Sorry, I know a bit late to reply.

I've stayed it before in Canberra for 2 days. I stay in a room with 8 other strangers. Quite ok because I just needed a place to sleep. I took tiger airline. No problem for me. You can cook at the hostel. Some people who had stayed for few days they went to supermarket to buy raw materials and cook it at the kitchen. You also can bring instant noodles if you want.

The thing you need to remember is bring your own lock. They have locker which you can put your bag and lock it. Enjoy your trip.

Anyone got room for end of February or March next year at around North Melbourne or Parkville (spelling not sure). I think I ask it too early. Ask it next year:p
*
ok thanks
but unfortunately, my trip cancelled sad.gif

and quite hard to find the room for next year...all usually available at end of nov
and i also looking for next year too

if u dun mind ur pc being bang here n thr then u can try bring over thr...n if u got more space for ur luggage too..
but it is better tht u just buy those hardwares without casing n bring over thr..then buy casing from thr..
the thing u must protect well is ur HDD..try put bubble wrap as many as u can for HDD from being spoil or bad sector

Hi all in Melbourne,

I did remember someone here say they stay at Arrow on Swanston. What do you think about this place? I just would like some feedback. Next year, I really have no idea why should I stay?

TQ
*
1 word..DON'T..except u got no choice..the only good thing is it was very convenient and near to uni
bad side is damn expensive and cannot have the broadband..need to subscribe for wireless or use their connection..if u got budget for arrow on swanston, i think u better find at Verve..u can find www.melcorp.com.au (i think)
it looks luxury and around the same price with arrow on swanston
hihihehe

That one too expensive. I hope somewhere around 200 per week. I try to search from Flatmates.com quite cheap but not sure what are the hidden fee. Anyway, I will only live in around Mid of feb or March 2010. Now, I'm doing some research. This is because I would like to find a room around Royal Melbourne Hospital. If you got friend want to rent out a fully furnished room remember tell me.
*
u can try season apartment at swanston st...is near melb uni
my frens staying thr n $450 per week for 2 bedrooms..but not furnished..
if it is furnished,i sure will take over their place when their contract ends
