Sonic Gear has the worse quality for me, while Altec Lansing has good sound quality but the price is a little bit more expensive as compared to other brand.

Sonic Gear not bad mar. Can last and very durable. My speakers almost 6 years old, still working fine. Altec Lansing's size are an issue to me. Either its too small or too huge lol

I think Sonic Gear products are hit or miss.
Either you get those that can last long or those that spoil over a year.
They may need to spend more time on QC.

i think the issue is not only about 'lasting longer'...but sound quality as well.

Btw, My creative 4.1...i don't know how many years...must be at least 10+ years....it was bought when PCFAIR was still held at PWTC long time ago...LOL.

Sonic Gear is a good brand of speaker, but then i can say that it is consider as mid class speaker, due to its pricing, and sound quality (Sound quality i mean didn't mean to be loud, but is rich, bass and other etc and if not a pure music lover will hardly spot it).

For Altec Lansing i had my MX5021 and it still tip top condition, altec lansing is always famous on their Bass, And yes my Altec Lansing Speaker done it well

Another bess speaker i am using till now is Logitech Z906 , although many review say that it is lose to the previous version Z5500. But so far i am still very satisfied it, it could provide me a fully rich, bass and also quality audio i wish to get.

All of this is just for PC speaker, if goes to headset i will stick to my Monster Beats Studio by Dr Dre. Its really a music lover top choice, regarding of the pure quality, bass and etc it can provide

OOT, but bolded parts are argueable..
i think its safe to conclude that u're a bass lover based on your speakers and headphones choices.. biggrin.gif
