perhaps resetting the ECU may helps? try running PDT (proton diagnostics tool, IIRC) and check for any errors

how much is the full body spray? completely change to new color or still maintain the same? include minor cosmetic works such as small dent repairs, deep scratches, watermarks, etc?

today my power window failed me, for the very first time since my father bought the car back in 2003

it is the button that failed, couldnt wind up after winding it down.
does anyone know how much does the whole button unit cost?

This is the switch that fails me last night after using it for 5 years+, one of the button couldn't work anymore

my dad bought the car in 2003, but the unit warranty stated 2001? i wonder when did waja first introduce?

and does anybody know how much that switch cost?
*
QUOTE(yngwie @ Mar 17 2009, 04:06 PM)
my unit also having a problem. i can't open the window on the passenger side using the driver's control button.
but funny i can wind up the glass after it was open from the passenger side....  sweat.gif
*
open up the plastic shell and get to the copper connectors. it's pretty straightforward. u may need to break one tiny clip holder just to pry open the switch.

then sand paper the copper connectors. usually, the copper contacts are covered with carbon (due to sparking?), then clean it with some turpentine or whatever you have. it should work. i have to do mine every 5 - 6 months since the carbon build up covers the electrical contacts

anyone using the bridgestone re001, barum bravia or any directional thread tyres? care to share the experience?
thanks  icon_rolleyes.gif

*
try to avoid directional threads... u can't rotate the tyres (only fron front to rear, but not left to right). very troublesome if u have uneven tyre wear or need to swap the front left to the front right

anyway i'm using the cheapest diectional thread (RM170 per pop) - the sime tyres astar 300 (195/55/r15). seems kinda good for normal driving even when very heavy rain. no aquaplaning even at high speed

question:

2. leave it?

black / white is not an option. anyone had sprayed their wheels before? the cat tanggal tak? how much per piece? and should i spray the inside and the lip of the wheel too?

have some urge to facelift my waja a lil bit. how much are these, and who's selling?

1. monochrome proton logo, compatible size for pre campro waja (steering wheel, front bumper, reat bonnet)

2. the 5-button panel (alarm, hazard, fog, demister, blank) - anyone can get them cheap? i last saw someone sell it for RM250 per piece sweat.gif

3. waja campro CPS front bonnet and bumper set- how much are they? will my old headlights and foglamps fit? ( i hate the new 2-hole foglamp/signal indicator from the campro cps upgrade)

wow.. prject cleansweep. if i were the thieves, i'd go for the precious ECU, wiring loom, and the auto gearbox - but that'd mean bringing in the car to the workshop for specialist to dismantle.

haiya... waja is so vulnerable to thieves

most high end pirelli and michelin tyres are made from thailand rubbers... just that they export the rubber to italy / france before turning it into those tyres with nice smelling burn smoke

bro, since you using 60 series tyre, i wonder how much psi do you put in ur front and back tyres.. cos i always confused due original is 55 series tyre for waja..  hmm.gif
*
still the same... nothing concerns the size. bigger sized tyres means more air will go in to achieve the same pressure

29-30psi all round for typical use

i'm running 32. the car "feels" lighter - albeit bumpier. also, i'm on new wheels, since i banged my old OEM waja wheels badly a few times over small potholes at high speed. hence the higher tyre pressure

selangau to tatau

big potholes. most of them i could swerve, but when there's an incoming bus or truck, u got no choice...

plus the massive land slides early this year

i plan to smoke my headlamps too, but wondering how it will affect the light intensity esp at night

since the chrome reflector does the job of reflecting and concetrating the lights from the bulbs towards, what happens if it's smoked?

edit: can you also show us how you pry open the lamps? and do they get foggy (water vapor) since?

QUOTE(mao2 @ Jun 13 2009, 02:54 PM)
there is no problem with the light intensity.. coz waja uses projector type lamp.. even the high beam wont effect.. if u see carefully the for high beam part, it hav its own reflector.. and if that doesn't answer ur curiosity.. try compare the headlamp for campro vers. crome part to the 4G18 one.. if u see the campro one.. the crome part, the design doesn't even act as a reflector.. hehe.. so what ur waiting for.. blacken ur lamp..  brows.gif  brows.gif

ah... nice info

time to take out them spanners... la la la ~~

oh, i need a few more info
1. what kind of spray u use? high temp spray? do they flake?
2. any water vapor? esp after cleaning the car with high pressure jet?

QUOTE(coyouth @ Jun 13 2009, 05:20 PM)
so, what's the purpose for doing this?
*
duh... doh.gif

am i the only one who thinks that smoked headlamps rocks?

rather than paying rm600+ for a taiwan-made smoked headlamps (include them nice angel eyes), i'd pry open it myself and spend rm 10 on a can of flat black spray

Mine now not black colour but i sprayed it to follow the car body colour(galaxy grey)  biggrin.gif
