I think those service technicians also follow similar procedures on the internet. I know they can't unscrew the PCB from behind because the main cable that attaches to the touchscreen layer is short making it impossible to flip and expose the speaker. So they will still have to pry open the casing. Can you confirm that there are no 'bite' marks on the casing? These marks are a sign of prying open the top casing.

So I don't think they replace speaker since the issue here is contact. I think they will do something about the contacts too either via bending or adding padding to push the speaker down the contact pads.

Still those Big DJ things have better outside sound insulation. Good ones that covers the whole ear, you can barely hear the outside world even in low volumes. So I think it's healthier as well for your ears. Also cleaner. tongue.gif

Good luck by the way. When you settle down there, you can throw away your handphones because you can free ones on subscription. Choose wisely though. tongue.gif

I know...iPhone...$69/month on Vodafone...cap plan...$300 credit given per month if not mistaken...but $69/month is pretty steep...

In ear monitors. Meaning the drivers are in the ear for direct monitoring/listening of music. More efficient.
