Actually thats an old myth by now. Last time people use NiCD mah. Those NiCD batteries are notorious for 'memory effect' and require long and slow charging especially when it is new. There's a practice called 'conditioning' where they try to align all the battery molecules together to maximize charge. Sounds like blow blow water (I know) but I read about it before.

The current technology used does not require this anymore. When you newly buy a phone, just use it straight away until it is flat. Then do a charge until it is full and start using it again. Over time, your battery will be seasoned. The battery charging 'practice' is now integrated into the controlling charging circuitry of your charger liao. Its called 'trickle' charging and it is especially useful for Li-Ion batteries.

Anyway, for those who are interested to buy a cover/case for the Nokia 5800. I recommend HD Soft Silicone Skin Case. This is the one I recommend this afternoon because of the design. It does not spoil the overall profile of the phone while still maintaining functionality especially the front facing sensors.

1. Any issue syncing up with Outlook contacts and calendar?

2. Do the Tube beep or flash any lights if there is a missed call or unread messages? I mean something to remind the users of the missed call and unread messages.

I think that's because you saved the themes on your card. I had an N70 long ago and the same thing happens.

Hmm..well..yeah..I do save the themes on the card..I guess I'll try moving new ones to the phone instead
