Then you can spend a few days in Gold Coast and visit the theme parks for some of the rides, climb the tallest building in Gold Coast, SkyClimb at Q1. Then head to Brisbane for some city culture and food. There is also the Story Bridge Climb which you can consider. Or you can head to Cairns for skydiving, hot air balloon, bungee and white water rafting

P/S: I have not been to Cairns so i am not sure about the travel arrangement from Brisbane/Gold Coast

I guess you can google it up! Melbourne have quite good food and surely got good city vibe.
As for attractions, the famous one would be Great Ocean Road, Phillip Island to see the penguins, Victoria Market.
I think they also have hot air balloon and sky diving but not too sure which part of Victoria you can do that

i just bought a return flight ticket (AA) to Gold Coast for this coming Nov, total price around rm2300 (2 adults , 1 kid and 1 infant).

Also i just made a booking via Agoda.com for an apartment in Surfers Paradise area for 7 nights stay.

Now, i am not sure if i need to rent a car for sightseeing or go to theme parks.

Any comment?

Thanks for your comment. Any specific Car Rental company that you would recommend?
Apparently, Budget Car Rental is not that cheap.

yeah, renting a car is a good idea.
cuz its easier than using their taxi/bus.
we've rent a corrolla (just 2 of us) from Hertz.
consider affordable. compared others.

or try thrifty. i don't think their price will be huge difference. just remember to add the premium insurance when renting a car too

also, you can easily look for promotion like rent 2 days in weekend free 1 day of rental, etc from internet

Is it possible to just explore Gold Coast in a day? I am planning to visit Dreamworld or Movieworld; still undecided at the moment, and then try to explore Sunshine Coast.

All replies much appreciated!
