Please share with us what have you purchased lately and if possible, post some pictures for all of us to drool over your haul drool.gif drool.gif drool.gif . It could be a pair of jeans, a dress shirt, sneakers and accessories; it could be anything! It is not necessary designer goods or branded stuff. There is no limit to it rclxms.gif.

i forgot but i remembered it to be less than RM200... i was expecting it to be more expensive because Bonia was also around that price range...
Timberland was too casual...

you can try Banana Republic in Pavilion, funny they don't display their belts, instead they keep in the drawers in the shelf opposite of the cashier counter smile.gif

Oh my lawd I gotta control my spending. Walked into the Yohji store and that was it, money out of my pocket.

I was out to buy my Clarks Desert Boots, that's all. I needed to go to Marc Jacobs so I walked. On my way back I saw Yohji Yamamoto so I went in, and I came out with a bag of stuff.

This was what I bought.

1. A Y-3 bag
a) The bag case

b) The bag itself

2. Y's Cotton Woven shirt. Feels like a jersey tee type of material but it's a shirt. Very laid back chillout look. Would work in a club or a sunny day out. Not so much during the winter.

Sling bag. It's fairly big, like a 17" Crumpler. I bought it at Yohji Yamamoto in London. 40% sale on the ENTIRE STORE! Insane. I wish I could afford more. Maybe when I start earning.

Fusion[eX]: The desert boots cost my just below 70 pounds.

hmmm CK underwear, i myself wear them and have more than a dozen.. but seriously the quality of their underwear is extremely poor, i think most of my boxers have already torn up and the stiching on my briefs have ripped :S
*
Thanks dude.

All my CK underwear still works quite well so far except for some colour fade on the older ones. Lucky I guess. Own more that 3 dozens now and used to buy 21xist and dkny but to me personally CK still fits me the best. Well just my humble opinion.

three reason for me using NIOXIN

1. chemical free, i've try alot brand of shampoo which can bought in market. A good example like Pantene such brand, chemical too strong.

2. hair smooth

3. smells good

Disadvantage:

1. price not wise

i'm very too serious bout hair care.

true true.. lol.. i think it is because many malaysians prefer to wear clothes which a little bigger than their actual size due to comfort and heat.. they may or may not directly realize this but i think these are some of the factors which lead to wearing a size or two too big..

i guess once malaysians start wearing their actual size of clothes then we will actally start seeing smaller sizes in the market.. i mean lets face it, malaysians are generally smaller compared to like european guys.. most of what we actually have in the market right now are clothes made for their size..

I think maybe its because we do not want to show our tummy xD

i recently bought a slim fit polo which did reveal my lil tummy haha!
Ahh i guess that's another reason to take precautions on my diet

haha i use to wear big clothes when i was young because my mother always thought that i will always grow but by the time i grew in to that size the clothes are already in bad shape xD
its really ugly if you wear a size which is much bigger then your body it looks like you're drowning in it!

it also is caused by branding, the conversion from pounds to RM, they are also one of the few companies which has been granted Royal Warrants by HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Prince of Wales..

QUOTE
Royal Warrants of Appointment have been issued for centuries to those who supply goods or services to a royal court or certain royal personages. The warrant enables the supplier to advertise the fact that they supply to the royal family, so lending prestige to the supplier. In the United Kingdom, grants are currently made by three members of the British Royal Family to companies or tradespeople who supply goods and services to individuals in the family.

Muji.....nice. Minimalist yet classy.

Hopefully we will have our own Muji store so that we don't have to go down to Singapore to admire it.

Not really a haul since someone gave it to me but it is too tight for me although the sizing is correct. I gotta hate the new skinny fit trend although I love the garment!

Decided to let it go...any takers?  doh.gif

Hey FusioneX , since you're into slacks , I guess I should ask you some questions that I dont understand.
Do you mind tell me what's the cutting call for those slacks whereby it's tight on the butt exposing the size of the butt ? That actually pretty attratcs me to get it as getiing normal slacks wont looks great on me.

I dont think those are called skinny cut right ? Skinny cut should be like those lala's pants whereby the whole pants is very tight right ?

I get what you mean but I have not come across any fitting term for trousers that refers specifically to tight seat (buttocks). Fitting terms like straight, skinny, bootcut, slim, loose, and whatnot are pretty general and refers to the overall fitting, from the seat through the legs. In relation to that, retailers brand their trousers based on those general terms so if you need a pair to trousers that suits you (tight at the seat), you really need to try them on. Try putting on slim, skinny and bootcut since they may be your best bet at finding what you want.

Unfortunately, although skinny fit has a tight seat, it is also tight throughout the entire leg which you would hate. Good luck with your find, mate.

CJ? Loake? Church's? Anyway, from what country was it shipped? Based on my experience, British Royal Mail is a lot more efficient than USPS. It has only been 10 days and I can assure you that there is nothing to worry about as heavy parcels can take many weeks.

From Ohio, USA. It's a pair of Magnannis. Thanks for pointing that out as usually items like shirts, accessories that I had bought in the past arrived in about 8 days. Will the customs detain my shoes out of no reason?

Ah. Spanish shoes. Anyway, probably USPS First Class Airmail (doesn't come with tracking). If you make more purchases online, you'll notice that lighter items arrive faster. Once I had a large package that took more than a month to arrive. Moreover, parcels can be detained if they are over a certain amount of value (inclusive of shipping) but this really depends on the custom's officers' mood and can be random. Items valued above RM500 are in the high risk area for taxation, I think.

Nice shirts Jind86. My Seed shirt with a fused collar seems to go out of shape. Especially the area behind the collar. All wrinkled. Probably the interlacing had shrinked. Time for a new shirt.

Woody and spicy…The scent has top notes of bergamot and violet leaves, a heart of pimento, black tea and cinnamon and base notes of olive wood, tobacco leaves, musk and myrrh. [Markus] Strobel said the formula is aimed at hitting “the sweet spot” between providing a “fresh, easy to wear' ambience, “a masculine sensuality” and a “distinct, memorable” sensation.

i dont know how to describe it so i quoted it from http://www.nstperfume.com/2006/12/08/gucci...-new-fragrance/, but seriously im really loving this scent at the moment..

yeah they were on sales, i purchased them at the padini concept store in Ikano (isit Ikano? the one next to the curve).. lol RM30 each =D 70% off..

well believe it or not, i purchased the shirt for RM30 each and the alterations cost me RM80 each.. well basically bringing in the chest area wld cost about RM40.. then bringing in the waist to obtain a v-shape is about RM25.. and lastly length of the sleeves measured to a quarter inch visible on my suit jacket cost about RM25.. all in all my tailor charged me RM80..

i wouldnt advice to alter large size shirts which need tons of alterations.. probably what is firstly important is that they should fit properly at the shoulder area, tapering to the body would be fine.. but if the shirt is totally not your size, then basically they would need to restructure the entire shirt to fit you.. but if you really want it to be done, its possible..

Thanks for the explaination jind , the alteration cost really pricey but since it's tailor re-made , I guess it's worth the bucks right?

I recently bought a Levis 512 from an official Levis store but I'm not too sure if it's original and I'm pretty scare they take the knock-offs for me. sad.gif
Have a look.

Different manufacturers produce their clothing with different cuts to fit different silhouettes. You can screw the person who told you this. He or she has no sartorial knowledge. At all.

searching for something smart and casual. Not too fancy, not too lala. Smart sleek . I went to timesquare, sg wang, areas in KL, came back empty handed.

Went to pyramid nothing came back empty too. Might try One U in a few days

Theres a shop in bangsar village 2 called the dude and the duchess..they have alot of long sleeved shirts but with funky designs. so its smart casual. You can google them up.

Sigh. I have yet to receive my shoes until this date. Should I open a dispute on him or wait for the seller to do something about it? I find the seller is a kind guy.

because what he says has a point, its called perceived quality, there are certain things which in fact may not be of high quality, but they are perceived to be.. i dont feel his statement is referring to you in any way.. he is merely adding on to what hanhanhan was saying.. i believe "you" in his statement refers to people in general.. so unless you are his father who knows what he can or can not afford, pls keep such comments to yourself..

there is a Burberry sale at Genting GICC Hall 5 from 31st April to 3rd May. I went over during my lunch break. First time seeing a RM2k trenchcoat. LOL. There are discounts up to 80%, but sadly I canot afford any of them coz even after discount prices are in 3 digits.

hahah, sure jind. I only knew yesterday when I saw the poster.

actually, there is still a lot of stuff available when I saw yesterday. high price and unstrategic location of the hall attributes to slow sales I guess.

i simply love the gucci green, red stripes,so outstanding and gorgeous..

ar,i am not a person who will spend more than 1k on a pair of jeans, but i envy those who actually do so..i would rather buy a wallet or stg else which can be using a little longer in future..if there are 50%discount, i wouldnt mind to get 1 of course.. biggrin.gif

what bothers me is why the hell is gucci still selling wide ass ties (maybe just in malaysia), but why not bring in slim ones as well? their brand is suppose to be really modern, chic, but their still selling fat ties here?

i simply love the gucci green, red stripes,so outstanding and gorgeous..

ar,i am not a person who will spend more than 1k on a pair of jeans, but i envy those who actually do so..i would rather buy a wallet or stg else which can be using a little longer in future..if there are 50%discount, i wouldnt mind to get 1 of course.. biggrin.gif
*
well at first i was waiting for the discount aswell! but i got too excited and bought it anyway! one of the reason is because i have typical malaysian size which ... always sold out during sales!

QUOTE(jind86 @ May 20 2009, 11:45 PM)
what bothers me is why the hell is gucci still selling wide ass ties (maybe just in malaysia), but why not bring in slim ones as well? their brand is suppose to be really modern, chic, but their still selling fat ties here?
*
i dont know could be old stock? but yeah i dont like fat ties too!

Unfortunately the buyers of Gucci ties are mostly portly men with bundles of cold hard cash. hahaha. So they can't wear skinny ties. And Gucci knows there isn't much buyer of such ties with "their" budget. Whats more, Gucci have to tompete with Jin86, FusionEX, Topman, Philosophy, blah blah, how could they sell off their stuff?

Flizzardo, you will love Tokyo as all the boutiques there carry the perfect sizes for Asian!!! I was there 3 weeks ago and man, you will sure find your perfect fit there. I bought quite a number of Burberry, Paul Smith, Agnes b and Fred Perry.

In Malaysia, ppl tend to discriminate slim and skinny guys!!! mad.gif

you should take a look at japanese, i won't say most of them are skinny but they are in healthy physique. you can hardly find obesity in japan. i think it is due to their food. in fact i lose weight when i was in tokyo. partly because i did quite a lot of walking there.

sales begin in july/august. so you may want to plan your trip to coincide with the event. happy spending! tongue.gif

you are right, july/august is summer.

well, there is another grand sales in january each year it is freaking cold at that time. i would prefer to shop in summer for 2 reasons:
1. you don't have to carry too many winter wears, so you will have more space to bring back goodies from japan.
2. easier to undress and try on whatever clothes that you like. if it is winter, trust me, after the 2nd trying you will be exhausted already.

though it is summer, it is not as humid as malaysia. thus you won't sweat like a horse.

i agree with you that raven is a symbol of bad luck, especially if you are from chinese community as this is how we were raised in malaysia. however, raven means good luck to japanese and you can really find them almost everywhere.

i was at tokyo disneyland too and man that place is really meant for kids and teenagers. it just reminded me that i am not that young anymore blush.gif .

thanks it cost MYR1999 before discount ... i almost got it before discount but thank god i saw gucci shoe first and bought it instead.. then a week later i got a call from club 21 that they are having sales and extra discount for a period of time for members

so i went quickly as i was afraid my size would ran out , there was 30% discount on it plus 10% discount because i am a member so the damage was around MYR1300 really happy! as i feel this is the best shirt i have right now! i love it even more than my gucci shirt!

i like how the shirt sleeve is also rather slim which goes along with the size 15 (more like an S) shirt.. unlike most brands which the arm area is rather big..

there is no lifetime warranty for wear n tear, only for workmanship.. if you break the zipper after 2years, you have to pay for the repair.. i..e no warranty.. if the logo comes out on regular use.. dun think they will fix it for free for whole lifetime...., if they do, that would be great to hear.. thumbup.gif

i believe yes~but i am not sure if it is chargeable for polishing or not sweat.gif ...i only have their bags,so cant answer this question, paiseh~~
by the way this is what written on the receipt from prada klcc, hope this can help u a bit if u have lost ur receipt:

acknowledge satisfactory receipt of the goods/services referred to in this invoice. non sale merchandise can only be returned for exchange or merchandise credit and within 10days of purchase when accompanied by proof of purchase. merchandise credits are not redeemable for cash and will remain valid for a period of 6 months. sale merchandise can not be returned.

this is the contact 603 2382 0718(klcc)
603 2144 3608/09(pavillion)
u may acquire information that u needed from them like polish wallet u mentioned etc~

i am not sure about the warranty stuffs, becos the sa there tell me that i can send my bag to them for repair in anytime i want..and my dad just gave me his bag and i feel like to change the strap also,so i give the shop a call, and then the sa tell me i can do so but they need to investigate my bag since it wasnt purchased here and give me some advices first, very vague,i do not know what they mean actually, so now i am not changing the strap anymore~beside i read that it can take a long time..

next time try their nylon range, it is super easy to maintain and it is water resistent also.

Well, I like Prada too but I cant wear the suit as my body is not really the super slim type. My fave brands are YSL and Christian Lacroix, YSL very limited here and Christian Lacroix not available here.

For working shirt, I prefer Alain Figaret been using them before they have a branch in Singapore, and recently in Gardens. Shoes wise, anything goes man, but I just started collecting sandals from LV for the past two years, yes, I like to wear selipar.

Love buying suits but rarely wears them. Will post some pics of my suits later.

FOr the past one year, my latest Fashion Haul been buying cycling apparels from Assos, Rock Racing and Rapha. Big time into cycling.

this thread is lacking of ACTUAL pictures.. the early part of this thread has pictures of the actual item, now people are just too lazy to snap a picture of their precious purchases..

It is actually a problem with your room's lighting rather than your camera's picture quality. Insufficient lighting on auto mode equals low shutter speed, giving you blur pictures even with the slightest shake from the hand holding the camera. You can either take picture in a brighter place or use your camera's flash.

Then chop it off again tongue.gif I do it on my own by pinning the hem 1 inch or 3/4 inch above the ground(back of the heel) barefooted. Then you can start blind stitching the hem or send it to a tailor. You may try this method and see if the length suits you.

the suit jacket and jeans look is fine..

it's very common today to be pairing your suit jacket with jeans for a more casual look..

user posted image

*btw again, the jacket is called a suit jacket, not simply a suit..

hmmm i don't think having a good face has anything to do with wearing a jacket.. you could say that having a good body will make your silhouette look nicer but there's always tailoring..
