Both are under Pos Malaysia but different thing.

Pos laju = Required signature by receiver. U need to pack your parcel and ask for poslaju form from the counter.  Poslaju can post all big, small, heavy or light parcels.

Pos Express = Do not require signature from receiver. Pos man will just drop the pos express envelop in the Pos box. If cannot fit in, posman might just throw it into the house or ring the bell ask u to take it. Pos express only able to post things that can fit in their envelop.
Pos express comes with these envelop:

Both arriving durations is almost the same. but Poslaju is safer than pos express. In case of parcel lost, Poslaju is still able to get back the item but for pos express, it will be hard to get the parcel back.

Yes pos express got Rm6 for 750g (250 mm x 210 mm)

Pos laju didn't give envelop. They do have free Poslaju plastic bag on which recently only some pos office will give. Now they will always say out of stock. Only poslaju account holder will be able to get the plastic bag easily. It is recommended to pack by yourself. you can pack any way u want.

I wanna send a parcel from perak to K.L. Is it safe to use pos laju?
Do I need to pack the parcel myself or the post office staff will pack it for me?

Yes it is safe to use Poslaju. (Pos laju and Pos express is different thing ya)

U have to pack the parcel by yourself. Then go to the counter and ask for poslaju form. Fill in the form then go back to the counter then post staff will tell u how much u have to pay. Then you'll get the poslaju slip. Keep that poslaju slip/receipt. Theres tracking number too. You can track your parcel with the tracking numbers.

But to clarify something, no courier service can be deemed as 100% safe. Even the best have failure rates. However, PosLaju is still a decent courier service company with good rates for light items. biggrin.gif

My recent experience with Pos Express.

They cheated on their delivery time!

My area is in Zone A, where it suppose to be next day delivery. Sender posted on Monday 9am. And when I checked the system on Tuesday, it stated that the item had been delivered. But the fact was, the item reached me only on Wednesday.

They cheat on their system so that they don't have to compensate for late delivery. If they can't meet the next day delivery promise, they need to compensate me with a new envelope.

Yes, it is black & white written in the posting slip (the paper which contain zone B and C locations, and also provide us space to place the yellow sticker)

Posting slip is located in the envelope. You can find this statement "sender will receive a FREE pos ekspres envelope if the service standard is not met"

Wow... I just checked it after u mentioned. Its true... but then I think they never give.. Cos if so, many ppl should get the free envelop already.. cos delay does always happen.. sometimes 3 days. and some didn't even receive their parcel and didn't get any free envelop though....

Ya, so they try to cheat through their system.. In the system it will appear as "delivered", but in fact, the item reach 1 or 2 days later

In my case, they wrote:

Unable to deliver the item due to
Missed delivery - Item will be deliver next working day

... for 2 consecutive days.

No reason given e.g. recipient not at home, tayar pancit on MRR2, etc. Just another way to cheat the system. Might as well get rid of the tracking system. Oh, they can't do that, coz some kroni is getting paid for providing the system *duh*

"Dijamin sampai hari esok"? Who is the one providing the guarantee? Must be the envelop la. Postman slow, cannot do anything.

Call to 1300 300 300 to ask about it. Sometimes they didn't update to the tracking system. But 6 days already.. Might be lost or seller didn't post out
