New E71 user reporting in.  rclxms.gif

I have a question. Every time i connect the phone to my laptop for either data transfer or synchronization the phone doesnt detect the memory card after i unplug the usb. I have to restart the phone every time i use the usb cable so the phone recognize the mc. So my question is after u are done using the usb do you just unplug or u have to do some software shutdown which i didnt do. Very annoying ler.

Hope all the veteran users can enlighten me on this one.

Thanks yall.

Gong Xi Fa Chai to all.

Hmm... 5800 XM has a non-hardware keyboard, and I believe this can't be compared to a actual QWERTY?

Hi Guys ... n Gals,

new E71 user reporting in.
bought mine about 2 weeks ago
Avaxx Grey Steel

Updated to latest firmware 200.21.118 on the day i got it.

recently encountered once in a while will get "menu freeze" as in all other functions works but when i press the home or menu button, the interface won't appear until i restart the phone. happened only when i installed opera mini via wifi; so i just uninstalled it and so far it's been ok for a day (i hope).

hoping some sifu's can explain a bit about this irregularity.
*
maybe you should try and download opera mini from your desktop and transfer it to you memory card..you never know if the installer might be corrupted since you downloaded it using wifi..so far, opera mini works fantastically well for E71..

Guys, how do you increase the speaker's loudness? (not the speak on the top, but the one where you listen to calls)

Cuz everytime someone called, i barely make out what they are saying.
*
same place where you increase the speaker volume..top right side..

QUOTE(slcw @ Jan 30 2009, 09:50 PM)
being a newbie on E71, i uncheck the AGPS on 1 mode, then later in the day I switch mode from Business to Home....I forgot to uncheck AGPS

now i that i have uncheck I realised, there are other positioning methods like

1) Bluetooth GPS
3) Integrated GPS
4) Network GPS

what is 3 and 4? should i check 1, 3, 4?

please advise sifus

thanx
oppss...i found this by Zad78
yup it is possible...infact i'm using it rite now i.e. only using integrated gps and network base (it is mandatory that you check network base otherwise the gps wont work) but uncheck assisted GPS and bluetooth GPS. and it work as expected. to get a lock on is not quite as fast (less than 5 secs) as with AGPS but its bearable (around 10 secs).

but what is difference? 3 and 4
*
Intergrate GPS is use for Garmin..if you uncheck, garmin would not be able to locate the satellite..not sure bout network gps though..

e71 screen abit too small. The keypad is amazing.

I prefer 5800 screen 3.2 inch le the only worry i still have is its virtual qwerty
*
dude..seriously..if your a texter, stay with E71..texting using touch screen is not that nice..honest opinion here..the screen is an advantage i admit..well, some say you can compare with hardware keypad and touch screen keypad, but i prefer hardware keypad..i only have one solution for this..wait for N97..that would be awesome..touch screen and full qwerty keyboard.. rclxms.gif

Yo Sifoo's... I just got myself an AP White Steal running FW 100.07.76. Lovin it! I have 101 Qs to ask, but I am going to take it 1 at a time. Before I start tweaking/customizing it, I would like to find out the latest most stable firmware + product code to upgrade. Also, kindly PM the ahem sites.

It cost me RM1300 @ Sg. Wang. Made in Finland

Thanks in advance.

Bro, what is your advice? Should I go ahead and upgrade my firmware from 100.07.76 to 200.21.118 or leave it as it is?
*
i recommend that you upgrade your firmware..but since yours is an AP set, i'm not sure if there's any additional steps you need to do cause if i'm not mistaken your IMEI number is not the same..maybe some one here who's using AP set can enlighten our friend here bout upgrading to the latest firmware..i know some one did it..
