omnia beats e71 in camera and touchscreen. But WM6 not really a high demand currently.

ya, i used Window Mobile 6.1 before d,
the sms is "threaded sms", that means it is look like MSN conversation.

but i think Touch Qwerty is faster than Press Qwerty,
some more touch is look more stylish.
the major problem for me can't type fast in E71 is when typing number, i need to use 2 hand, 1 pressing the corner button, 1 pressing number, make me feel quite troublesome.
and actually i'm very mind with the light leakage above keypad, make me feel uncomfortable, like using cheap phone.
and also a better 5mp camera is quite important to me.

but i'm still comsidering,
because of Window Mobile graphic interface is suck,
to wake up the phone, the power button is the one & only one button,
battery drain (need to charge every couple of day, troublesome)

kindly tell me more disadvantages of Omnia if any 1 know,

If not mistaken nokia maps navigation uses data. Why dont u use Garmin XT. No data charges.

because u r using A-GPS,
to disable it, go to : setting - general - positioning - positioning method - "un-check the Assisted GPS"
but after disable it, locking satellite will need very long time,
i'm hotlink user, each time start up, charge me 6sen only. i think it worth.

using Garmin also will cause data charge if u r using A-GPS.

Bro does this version fits the screen size. I tried installing picodrive, but cant remember the version, it does not fit the screen..

both also have data charges if you turn on online and then it will connect to your 3g connection..

love the steel/chrome.

but yeah if ur lookin for sth with a good camera then the e71 is kinda out of ur options lah unless if you're constantly in bright light and need to take close up shots.

i find the camera useful though..to copy notes from the board which im lazy to copy and it works quite well tht way

other than that, to me, the phone is fine and i think i use it majorly because its pretty.

I don't think using Garmin Mobile XT incurs any data charges? Only if you go to Garmin Online.

i'm using garmin also la. but my A-GPS is disabled already. it stil charges. but if i open garmin free.

for me i'm not using anti virus in phone..

if u are always transfer files[bluetooth] and surfing webs..it could be safer installing anti virus..
but IMHO..its no need

newer s60 v3 doesnt have any widespread or serious viruses yet especially fp2 ... older s60 has more viruses and it's well known.. no u dont need to install AV.. just makes your phone slow imo. if want to be sure.. just be mindful who u download/take ur files from..

i enable the A-gps, when open Garmin, my network icon will turn to EDGE (means that some data are in & out),
then cost me 6sen.

Garmin XT only do not charge at all when u turn off a-gps, network GPS and do not open garmin online

because E71 is really a good phone.
