QUOTE(winshoo @ Dec 25 2008, 01:37 PM)
Question tongue.gif

The Old Town White Coffee Cafe in Puchong (Kinrara) has wireless connectivity but strangely, although my Ipod Touch is able to connect to it (even detected the IP Address and Router), I can't surf the web. I tried to go into its router configuration and managed to see its login page. So I guess there isn't a problem with my Ipod Touch. But I have no idea why I can't surf the web. It keeps telling me (after a min) that the router is not responding...

Does anyone know if I need to do/set anything on my Ipod? smile.gif

Without dns, you cant surf internet, even if you have ip and router

Charging all the time will weaken the battery. It is best to use up the battery before charging. With a built in battery, it is better to be safe than sorry.

Ello, do some homework first

source: http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/lithium-ion-battery.htm

Ipod Touchs are using lithium-ion battery, so please read this:

QUOTE
They have no memory effect, which means that you do not have to completely discharge them before recharging

QUOTE
Lithium-ion batteries can handle hundreds of charge/discharge cycles.

QUOTE
If you completely discharge a lithium-ion battery, it is ruined.

You sure it is best to use up the battery???

I prefer IS or bodyguardz... coz it looks more original...
If you talk about anti-shock, actually Rebel Touch doesn't help much...
i have a Rebel Touch, at first, i really like the casing, looks nice and perfect... but after a month, i still prefer the original look...

If you really wan a Rebel touch, i recommend to wait for a while, wait for Rebel Touch edition of this

It takes 2 hours to charge from 0-80, and it takes another 2 hours to charge from 80-100.
Btw, do charge your ipod often, never let your ipod touch battery reach less than 20%

Added on January 28, 2009, 2:00 pmFor those ppl who said it is better to charge your bettery only when the battery is low, please go do some research on Lithium ion battery.
