Even if you have ip address already, you still need dns to go to the internet.

If anything thing happens to your ipod during the jailbreaking process, just restore it to the original firmware. Dont afraid of jailbreaking, many ppl did it.

Open the thread since july 2008, till now iphone still havent reach malaysia. Same, maybe after a month also havent release untethered version.

just look at blog.iphone-dev.org and redsn0w.com, no update for almost a month.

Make sure your itunes store in your computer is using your account, then connect your ipod to your computer, sync your ipod.

Manually install firmware. Go and download ipod touch firmware 2.2.1, then make your ipod into DFU mode. In itunes, hold shift and click restore, choose the firmware you downloaded
