Yeah... about Shiseido products... I have to say its the best men's line I've ever tried.

cleanser:
Best stuff I've ever used. It foams so well and after washing it, non drying at all. Face doesn't feel tight. Its among the best cleansing foam I've used. I've used biotherm's high recharge cleansing foam and it foams up very well too, but it causes some tight sensation to face several minutes after washing. When used for weeks, my face starts to get even oilier. Lets hope Shiseido's cleansing foam won't cause such problem =)

scrub:
I don't think I enjoyed it. The scrubbing beads were too fine for me and after scrubbing, I feel that my face had gone a little red. I guess my face never liked ultra fine beads. Prefer my good old dermalogica scrub.

hydrating lotion:
This is it! The best lightweight moisturizer I've ever found for my skin! Upon applying, can feel that my skin is supple and I just tested it today, applied from 2pm till now (12am)...very minimal oil produced compared to many other products I've tried. Definitely will repurchase. The only concern is that its too watery...almost like water... very low viscosity. Hence, its a little more difficult to apply it, have to slowly apply it part by part to my face, instead of squeezing some to my palm, rub it warm and massage to my face. Any better idea to apply it? hmm.gif

moisturizing emulsion:
After adjusting the amount accordingly, it works perfectly as well. Just need around 5cents or less to cover my whole face. This stuff really smoothen my skin even for the first time using it. I suppose it is more suitable making this as the night time moisturizer

total revitalizer: haven't try, will update later once tried =p

Great to hear Shiseido is working for you man ! I must agree that their products are top notch. The cleansing foam should be fine as I have been using it for a week now and it never dried my face out unlike other "oil control" cleansers i have used.

I find the deep cleansing scrub too much of a cleanser than a scrub. The particles are fine but too little as I prefer those scrubs packed full with scrub particles. I don't find it worth the RM105 price tag although I must admit the tube will last a very long time.

I tried applying the hydrating lotion like u do but ended up using too much and take too long. I apply the lotion the same way i apply the moisturizing emulsion...i squirt out about 4-5 drops (5 sen coin size again) and spread it between both hands (palms and fingers) and apply to face with a patting motion. After the lotion dries a bit i massage it in a little. But u need to apply it fast if u do it this way or your palms will end up absorbing some haha. The SA recommended I use a cotton pad but I find I use too much when apply with cotton. I too noticed a reduction in facial oil after using the hydrating lotion. It's a total turnaround for me as in the past I always stayed clear of anything hydrating as my skin is oily and acne prone. Hydrating Lotion is my holy grail ! going to buy this today.

I recently tried using the moist. emulsion in the day instead of hydrating lotion and it works great too. I think I used less than a 5 sen coin size amount and concentrated more on the cheeks and neck and just a little on the t zone. It does control oil to a certain extent too but in terms of shine control it's not so good. Yeah I agree that it works better as a night time moist for younger skins. I think I will buy the emulsion too once my current moisturizer finishes.

I think it's great that the products don't promise so many things but still works very well on my skin. Pricey yes but I think it's worth it.

Waiting for your take on the total revitalizer biggrin.gif

Hmm, after almost 2 weeks testing hydrating lotion... I can say its really good. At first, I was having some slight breakout here and there, but I guess its just the grace period of changing skincare products after jonny4 told me to continue testing it on my first week of breakout. I can say he's indeed right haha. The breakout occured and a few days ago, I can feel my left face is about to have one big breakout...can feel the bump.. but I had a crazy idea to even add more hydrating lotion to that area. By the 2nd day, the swelling feeling has gone and it didnt breakout. Then I started applying more hydrating lotion on my breakout spots. This magic lotion really soothes it and within days they have subsided... really good stuff!

I wanted to try toning lotion as I enjoyed the cooling effect it gives but it seems that every Shiseido counter in MidValley does not have the stock. The SA at Jusco told me the HQ has never been replenishing the toning lotion sample since last year but the retail packaging is still selling strong, real odd. Anyway.. going to get this hydrating lotion soon! Waiting for Isetan's sale... hehe can collect points n get voucher.

Tried hunting for jonny4's suggestion on lab series clay mask... the SA at Metrojaya told me many customers complained the mask was too dry and they have discontinued bringing them in 0.o.... Looks like I need to continue searching doh.gif

Wow I didn't know the Hydrating Lotion was that good LOL. I agree that it is amazing stuff...It's good to hear that the breakouts have subsided and u are liking the hydrating lotion. I did ask for a sample for the toning lotion but the SA at the Parkson 1U counter told me the same thing. But both toning and Hydrating Lotion are almost the same but I still prefer the Hydrating Lotion as its a 2 in 1 toner/moisturizer whereas the toning lotion is a very expensive basic toner. I am not surprised that the toning lotion is selling well as the SAs really push it strongly.

I must agree that the Lab Series clay mask is rather strong...my guess is because of the salicylic acid and clay. I been using it for 5 months and it's been working well for me skin. Btw, I bought mine from Robinsons. But if they really stop bringing it in I am disappointed...it was like my perfect holy grail mask cry.gif
On the other hand I ordered this cheap clay mask called Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque off ebay. RM18 for a 60ml tube. It's a cheap but highly regarded mask that great for acne n oily skin. If this one works well for me then it would be a perfect substitute for the Lab Series mask.

Well in my opinion it would be really good if they add the cooling properties in hydrating lotion too...but I'm glad I found this lotion nevertheless =)

Nah don't need to be disappointed. You can still order your clay mask off strawberrynet.com =p at here: http://us.strawberrynet.com/mens-fragrance...kincare/aramis/

I did some research to compare the ingredients of both hydrating and toning lotion. The main difference is that Toning Lotion has more alcohol denat, menthol and Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract. The menthol and extra alcohol denat won't suit your sensitive skin as far as i know.

Ah i see, perhaps the main reason for hydrating lotion to stay as it is now.

A Aesop SA was very generous and gave me 2 1.5ml samples of the Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque. There are 2 sizes, a small 50ml for RM75 (in a toothpaste tube) and a larger 75ml for RM135 (in a tub/jar). I just applied the mask and when initially applied I found it to be very watery, light and has a cooling sensation. It looked like it didn't really cover my face well. About 30 seconds later when it dried the mask is now very visible and has a earthy reddish color and is actually very thick on my face...I applied too much I guess.

Later I will post on how effective this mask is. It is very highly rated and expensive...so let's see if it lives up to the hype.

are you very sure ure skin is oily? sometimes you feel ure skin is oily because if the other harsh products being used...hence its overly dry and the skin produces more oil to compensate the lost.... you may wana try neutrogena's cleansers... they have many kinds and i can say this brand is quite reliable to many consumers.

Good suggestions by kotmj and kaspersky-fan.

I agree that some of the products available in pharmacies can be a little harsh as these products only goal is to get rid as much oil on your face as possible...that's not necessarily a good thing. I personally would recommend the Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cleanser..price is under RM50 and Eucerin products can be a match for some of the higher end stuff. Right now I am using the Shiseido Men Cleansing Foam, it's expensive but it works well for me. I tried quite a few products (cheap and expensive) before finding Shiseido.

But the bottom line is when choosing cleansers and face care products its all down to trial and error because everyone's skin is different. What may work for me may not work for you.
