If the product is good, it's good.
There's no such thing as 'your mileage may vary', if that quote really applies than the whole skincare industry is a big scam.

So what is this holy grail product that works for u and works for the rest of the human race ?

Helping out gf to look for acne solutions, Kiehls and Clinique are in consideration. Myself look into the pore minimsing series of Kiehls

How about L'occitane
*
Clinique acne cleanser is quite good but finishes really fast. Not really worth the money. The toner is very harsh and so is the moisturizer. Why not just use oil free products and incoporate a good acne cream/gel instead.

Kiehl's Blue Herbal range is slightly better than Clinique's but stay away from the Blue toner. The cleanser and moisturizer from the same range are not bad.

Apply clay mask twice a week, buy a BHA infused skin products and apply sunblock everyday.
Clay mask - Neutrogena
BHA - Paula's Choice
Sunblock - Biore or Shiseido Anessa

The total cost will be around RM100.
*
RM100?
...Paula's Choice costs RM70-80, Anessa sunscreen RM110...

my face is oily and got pores...is it good for it?any things can do others than buying expensive face treatment series?
*
Like the other guy suggested, a twice a week clay mask and BHA products will help. If u on a budget try Garnier Pure, Neutrogena or L'Oreal Men products...they do contain some amounts of salicylic acid (BHA) that might help. for the occasional pimple u could try using a benzoyl peroxide gel/cream at night. Use a mattifying Japanese sunscreen from Sunplay or Biore during the day. But make sure u use cleanisng oil to remove. Don't forget to use a light moisturizer as acne products and mattifying sunscreens are drying.

Biore Sunblock - RM25.90

I said it will be around RM100. Not RM100 exactly.

You should call your gf use Hada Labo or Paula Choice's.

Anyway, I should have come here before buying the Nivea Sunscreen SPF30. It cost more than Biore UV Perfect Milk SPF50 and very oily!

And by the way, the Paula Choice's BHA is to be applied after face wash right? And how do you guys apply together with sunscreen???

I seriously dunno unsure.gif
*
Yes it's applied after face wash. Apply the BHA, give it a few minutes to dry then apply your moisturizer/sunscreen or both.

*
Most biotherm counters have the T Pur promo set but a few counters have run out of stock. Bought mine from Jusco Midvalley counter. I think there are a few more there...but I could be wrong.

But if u meant regular T Pur products then all counters will have.

I bought the anti mark roll on pen a few months back and found it to be extremely sticky and shiny...like I just applied glue all over my face.

Just bought myself the Biotherm clay mask last week. I wonder is all clay mask make our skin brighter/fairer? I want the mask to get rid of my black/white heads & to minimise the pores but not to make my skin brighter.
*
It may seem brighter because of a thin layer of clay remains on the skin after u wash it off. Also clay soothes n calms the skin...giving the appearance of brighter/fairer skin.

Dear All expert,

Just read thru the thread for the last 10 pages. Found out that, there is numerous solution for skincare.

Hope all bro dont mind to asnwer my question, if this is repeating question.
For pimples, seems everyone suggest benzoyl peroxide 2.5%, may i know where i can get this? Watsons?

Is this the correct procedure.

Wash the face with cleanser, after that apply the cream to pimples, after 10 min , then only apply moisturizer to prevent the skin from dry?
My skin is oily type, do i need to use hydrating toner?

Any suggested brand for moisturizer and hydrating toner?

Please advise.

Thanks
*
U can get benzoyl peroxide 2.5% at pharmacies like Watson, Caring n Guardian. But 2.5% is quite rare at times and its mostly 5% available. Affordable brands are Benzac, Panoxyl and OXY. However I noticed that Panoxyl has been taken off the shelves and almost impossible to find. I was told by a pharmacist that Panoxyl is only available through special order. U could try Benzac as it is better than Panoxyl (thru personal exp). Benzoyl peroxide bleaches clothes n hair...best apply it only at night.

Yup the procedure u listed is right. I do the same thing but recently I been skipping moisturizer n I just cleanse, apply hydrating toner and then apply Benzac. I believe applying moisturizer dilutes the acne medication, making less effective. But most important is u got to get a procedure that suits your skin.

What's your budget for toner n moisturizer ?

Thanks bro.

My budget will be around rm 100 - 200 for toner and moisturizer

Its depend, but if is worth, will consider even it is exp.

Any suggested brand?
*
I've not used many hydrating toners but the one I use now at night is called Shiseido Men Hydrating Lotion. It's really good at calming the skin down and soothing it with a little moisture. It costs RM130 for 150ml but only a little is needed per application. I used to use it in the daytime but found it to be a little sticky for my oily skin. Should be no prob for night time.

A good moisturizer is probably the Biotherm Homme Aquapower...light but moisturizing...costs RM140 for 75ml. I use it only at night...I've given up using moisturizers in the daytime.

Both bout the same. Biotherm is a bit more moisturizing n heavier compared to Biotherm Homme. I might be wrong but Biotherm Homme is also slightly cheaper per ml.

i'd like to use a bha product other than paula choice. as i prefer something that i can find in guardian/watsons not some online store. y'know the face care stuff need to be replenished regularly..so much hassle to buy this stuff over internet plus the postal cost.
any suggestions?
*
Prob with the pharmacy stuff is that the BHA concentration is not indicated. Try asking the pharmacist.

Paula's Choice has a local distributor. Go look at the msian website.

which is why I use Shiseido Moisturizing Emulsion since it is light... hmm.gif

I've got 2 30ml bottles of the Moisturizing Emulsion and I been using it 4 de last 2 weeks as a daytime moisturizer. I agree it's light but somehow it makes my face shiny. I don't find it greasy and it hasn't caused any breakouts. Even when I use a small peanut size amount it still makes my face shiny.

How much do u use ?
