Thanks tiger92, do u have the website on this?

Paula's Choice has an agent here and their office is in Shah Alam. Pretty affordable prices. Give them a call and they would be able to advise u on their products.

Hi All, any effective/better way to reduce pore size? I'm using Biotherm Biopur (pore reducer) for some time now but didn't see any result yet sad.gif
*
AFAIK pore size is genetic so if u got large pores there's nothing much u can do. Most products in the market just cosmetically reduce pore size temporarily.

Just bought Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Moisture Milk SPF50 light blue bottle one, the texture is light i thought i didnt shake it well at first.

My cleansing oil is finishing soon too, compare to sunscreen i think cleansing oil is the quick usage one. Any good and economic one to recommend. Kanebo?
*
JUst finished my Skin Aqua...using Shiseido Anessa SPF50 now smile.gif

Yea cleansing oil definitely finishes first...about 2 pumps should be sufficient for face n neck. My 180ml bottle of Kanebo Freshel C Cleansing Oil lasted about 3-4 months with almost daily use. Kanebo one is the most economic (RM40 for 180ml) and good one I have used so far. Best part is that they didn't add any fragrance to it.

I think my pore is getting larger due to white/black heads. I don't think it's genetic.

*
Then try using a clay mask and a mild scrub a few times a week. A BHA/AHA product will help to in getting rid of black and white heads.

Just picked up Kanebo cleansing oil today from SaSa not one bottle but two. The reason is because they are having promotion for free one bottle of Toner for purchase above RM100. I ended up buying a promotion set Cleasing Oil + 40g whitening essence for price of RM78 and additional bottle of Cleasing Oil (considering it finishes fast and I do not know or get into any other Kanebo products). All these are only for the Kanebo Freshel series.

RM118 for the whole, 2 bottles of cleansing oil + 40g whitening essence (which i won't be using and give to my gf) + a bottle of 200ml toner. Not a bad deal afterall I never heard any from Kanebo toner and essence.
*
The same offer was on when I bought my bottle in early December. Takde duit that time so just bought the cleansing oil which had a 10-15% discount.

What's your take on the Kanebo Cleansing Oil ?

Jonny,

why must we use a cleansing oil to clean away sunblock ? O.O

Can't we just use tap water and rinse the face? It won't melt in the water?
*
It depends on the type of sunscreen u use. Usually the American/European ones are easier to wash off and might not need to use cleansing oil.

Japanese/Asian sunscreens are water (sometimes sweat/sebum) proof and are extremely hard to remove compared to American/Euro ones. The other day I went fishing and it was really hot n humid at first followed by a thunderstorm...my Shiseido Anessa sunscreen I had on kept my face shine free and matte the whole 12 hrs I was out. Tap water just isn't going to wash it off...even a face cleanser. That's why cleansing oil is important.

Nowadays some American/Euro brands have tried copying Japanese sunscreens and are equally hard to remove. So to be on the safe side I recommend the use of a cleansing oil to remove any kind of sunscreen.

*Applies only for the face...u don't need to bother too much about removing body sunscreen properly. Just regular soap will be enough.

What if the sunscreen stays on your face? It clogs pores?

I am using Nano so I think it's Japan one hahaa.
*
These Jap sunscreens (korean/asian) ones too act as a makeup base and has a lot of silicones to cover pores/smooth skin/control shine so they will definitely clog pores if not removed properly.

I have no idea if Nano sunscreens will clog pores or not...what's the SPF ? anything more den 30 would need a special product to remove.

After using a normal cleanser to wash off the Nano sunscreen how does ur face feel ? if u can still feel like there's a layer of something dry n smooth den u need cleansing oil.

But anyway i think i better get the cleansing oil because i just got a makeover and i have no fringe anymore so my forehead can be seen and it is stress to maintain acne free haha. From my diet to hours of sleep bla bla bla. Thanks alot anyway
Just that wouldnt using both facial cleanser and cleansing oil dry up our faces ?

Added on January 3, 2011, 10:23 pmand also i think i am getting diacneal too because my panoxyl has finished. Wish i could get some discounts . Yea !
*
They will dry up your face but that can be solved by using a good moisturizer at night.

Should have sale now at pharmacies so go check out the big 3 (Guardian, Watsons and Caring) to get the best deals.

the best cleansing oil you can get now is the MAC cleansing oil. it is not as drying as the DHC cleansing oil.
its all rave here in the UK.
*
It's too expensive here...it's RM95 for only 150ml. The DHC is slightly cheaper, RM100 for 200ml.

Still a student couldn't afford much.

I can't remember the last time I bought a budget moisturizer LOL.

U can probably try brands like L'Oreal, Garnier or Neutrogena.

Maybe someone on this thread can help u out.

Budget Moisturizer I can think of, RM18 for Garnier Aqua Defense Non stop intensive moisturizing essence. RM30-50 range, i woulda get those Taiwan brand i.e. Naruko

Kanebo cleansing oil, good stuff and it is fragrance free. I prefer it over Oslee i used.  I havent try out on the Kanebo toner which came free of the purchase.
And i'm really liking the Sunplay sunscreen although it doesnt control oil as strong as Biore and the Sunplay SPF65 i used before. But it is still good overall I havent get any obvious result from the hydration though.
My cleansing oil costs higher than sunscreen i use, lol.

How you doing with your shiseido sunscreen, jonny
*
The Shiseido Anessa sunscreen I'm currently using is awesome. Probably the best I have used so far. Oil control isn't as strong as Biore which is good because it isn't drying....but it is still matte to a certain extent without making me look like a corpse. It's also less oily compared to Sunplay ones I have used. I admit it's expensive but really worth the RM105 I spent.

where to get the cheapest Shiseido Men Hydrating Lotion or Biotherm Homme Aquapower? Is it ok to apply these before sleep and removing it the next day? Cant seems to find Shiseido & Biotherm product in Watson & Guardian & Caring...

By the way, Sunplay SPF 50 is having sales in Guardian @ RM 27. Almost 8 bucks cheaper than the normal price of Rm 34.90.
*
Yeah it is ok to apply those two before sleep. U don't have to worry about not removing them as those 2 are not mask. Biotherm and Shiseido are only available at their respective counters at department stores (Parkson, Jusco n etc) and not pharmacies. Prices are standard.

Do you guys normally use only 1 kind/brand of face wash?

I'm currently using Biotherm Aquapower in the morning & Loreal men expert Vita Lift and/or Hydra Energetic in the evening.

Am not sure whether it's OK to alternate between different brands of face wash.

Any comments? Thanks.
*
I use a different one in the day and another one at night just like u. There shouldn't be a prob doing that as long as there aren't any side effects.

both Shiseido & Biotherm cost almost rm 100....

normally 1 bottle Biotherm Aquapower Moisturiser 75ml or Shiseido Men Hydrating Lotion 75ml can last for how long?
*
Shiseido Hydrating Lotion - RM135, 150ml

Biotherm Aquapower Moisturizer - RM140, 75ml.

It depends on how much u use n how often u use. When I was using the Hydrating Lotion, after 2 months of use I don't think I used even 50% yet. So it will last long as long as u use ur hands to apply n not cotton pad. I use the Aquapower only at night and based on my usage, it should last me 5-6 months.

well, facial product? i would recommend for young guys NOT to use man facial wash.why?cos it strong and affect ur face.instead of cleansing,it will stay on ur face and cause troubles.

my experience-Loreal,Nugeno,Nivea,all for men.
thus, dont care what people say, just get women one cos it is much milder, softer for ur face.

right now,i got serious face problem(my T zone is clear, but my cheek..OMG) with some labial crease.duh..

i got some scar, persistent black head.the pores..if i kiss,my partner sure can notice one.. sad.gif and im still looking for the most suitable products.

im thinking of trying oxy due to my acne problem,i just x really sure about it.

help me?got really serious problem here.sometimes this depress me.i do wonder what i can get with budget low than RM50.
*
Instead of OXY try Benzac AC5...its de same as OXY but a little less drying n irritating but just as effective.

For the blackheads maybe u can try using a clay mask 2 times a week. Look for a mask (or other products) that contain salicylic acid (BHA).

As for the scars, if not severe they will heal in time. But if u want fast results go for a serum that contains high amounts of vitamin c. But the good ones usually cost RM120 and above unfortunately.

Lastly use a good sunscreen in the day. All the products u use daily will go to waste if u do not do anything to prevent sun damage. U can try using Japanese ones like Biore, Sunplay and Shiseido as they r light n non greasy. Go for something at least SPF30 (I use SPF50 min) as we get a lot of intense sunlight in Msia.

Hi All, any comment on LAB Series - Purifying Clay Mask in reducing/removing black/whiteheads or reducing pore/size?
*
Its a good mask but it has been discountinued in all countries last year.

A better alternative is the Origins Out of Trouble Mask.

They got a lot of products and I have only tried the Blue Herbal range....which was fairly average tbh. The Dermatologist Solutions is highly raved but very pricey.

Are you serious? That shit made me and my brothers skin broke out like hell.
For clay mask, Neutrogena's are one of the best and it is cheap too. Just my personal opinion.
*
Well everyone's skin is different. Just because it caused breakouts for u n ur brothers doesn't mean the product is shite.

As always when it comes to skincare, "your mileage may vary".
