QUOTE(bysquashy @ Feb 1 2009, 11:21 AM) Please recommend me a headphone based of the below preference. Any comments or suggestions?- what you currently have (mp3 players, amps, soundcard etc) Will use it most of the time on the plane or laptop - what type of usage (movies/ gaming/ music etc) Movies and music - source (i.e. flac, mp3 etc) MP3 - type of music listen to (classical, jazz, metal, etc) Norah Jones, Josh Groban with occasional Pop and Hip Hop. - personal requirements like type (closed, open, cirumaural, IEM etcP). Preferably comes with airplane jack. Budget wise, I would say RM500. Currently looking at Sony MDRNC22B. http://www.sony.co.nz/products/product.jsp?sku=MDRNC22B Thanks guys. What do you guys think about pairing a Fiio E3/E5 with the Bijou's? Does it make much difference?
I heard it only makes a significant difference on certain earphones. |

QUOTE(tunertoobe @ Feb 4 2009, 08:48 AM) Hey guys I'm looking for an in ear monitor mainly for my phone. Oh yeah forgot to add.My budget is around RM300-350. Also I notice some earphones produce too much bass. I'd rather hear crisp clear vocals, piano solos and guitar riffs rather than having bass block out everything every time it thumps in. I was looking at Shure's SCL2 or Sony's MDR-EX300/500 ER. Dunno exactly the price but they seem to be within my budget(I know the Sony ones are, they're in Sony Malaysia's website). Anyone can recommend me something else? Also I live in KK so if any of you knows of a good place to search for audio equipments, I'd like to know as well. Thx a billion!! I also listen to FLAC in my PC. I'd also rather have the traditional noise isolation ones rather than noise cancelling ones(although the price range seems to take care of that |

Well, IMO, the Lear's would be better. The EP-630 doesn't really bring much to the table compared to the Le01's. |

EP-630's bass is bloated and uncontrolled. i havent tried LEar, though. since ClieOS ranked it at the same level as X3, then Lear should be much better than EP-630
