Guys..i need recommendation.

- what you currently have
iPod touch

- what type of usage
95% music. 5% movies.

- source
MP3 + FLAC

- type of music listen to
Rock + Katie Melua + Norah Jones + Acoustic vocal music

- personal requirements
I prefer close can but if it sacrifice quality so much then i'll go for open can. Tight, punchy and fast bass. Clear and crispy mid + high.

- Budget : RM 1k - 1.2k for headphones + 500-700 for amp/dac, Total must not exceed 2k for (Headphones + amp/dac + cabling + pouch)

- Currently eyeing

Grado MS2i, Grado 325i, ATH W1000, Denon D2000, Beyer DT990, AKG K701 (Spoilt for choice...wish there's a shop where i can listen to each)

+ Ibasso D2, any other suggestion ?

One stupid question as this will be my 1st attempt for head-fi...can my Onkyo 705 drive this phones, will i need amp after dac or that Ibasso D2 is enough. Anyone doing bulk here can throw me their package Open for suggestion.

With such budget, can get nice stuff edi. Juz wait more ppl 2 poison u. I recommend ZERO DAC cuz it nice and fit ur budget. As for headphone, havent get a >1k heaphone yet, cant say anything.

White colour would be EP-635. Same earphone just that the cable is a different than EP-630. Dunno how to describe but it's more street-use friendly.
Overall it's just the same thing with different colour and cabling.

Rock, Pop, R&B, Live, HipHop, Slow Music (No techno).

- personal requirements
Preferable just sufficient/good bass included. Clear and crisp sound. Do prefer if the earphones can be loud enough, more likely for Mp3 usage. Not those big head jack. . Fits more on medium-small ears.

- Budget : RM 60 and below. Basic usage.

dunno whether Audio Technica ATH-M30 is suitable for you though, it's a monitoring headphone, good stuff it is. Selling for RM 220 (if not mistaken) via Akabane's bulk.
