QUOTE(Enigmatic @ Apr 25 2009, 01:40 PM) Pretty cold sounding pair of cans. Decent soundstage, abit to the bright side, mids are a little bit distant. Pretty decent cans for roughly RM200. Main competitors would be the DT231 and the M30. Then is it recomended ? considered it's price and performance ratio |

Hmmmm.. Depends on your taste.
What music you usually listen to? I personally love the SHP8900 cause it's bass shy, sparkly on the highs and rather transparent for its price. If you listen to techno, rock, metal and those heavy stuff, the SHP8900 might not be for you. You might want to look at the M30 instead. Where else if you're looking for something more portable, better all rounder, look at the DT231. ADD: You can't quite mention about price per performance ratio for audio stuff. As they say, one man's honey is another man's poison. Some may like it and some may not, it's truly a subjective matter. Hence, performance is hard to gauge in terms of audio, however at best I believe is a description of the headphone's sound signature, and having the person who intends to buy the headphone do lots of research and if possible, audit. Wakaka, because the guy bought his CX300 for Rm60 only, he dunno whether it's original or fake so they're discussing the SQ of CX300. CX500 is the successor of CX300 because there're too many counterfeit of CX300 in the market already, so they kinda discontinue the production i guess. |

Yesterday I asked my gf actually what she disliked about that CX300, she said the SQ makes it sounded like fake, even on par with a RM15 Panasonic earphone which she has been using for quite a time!! I started to wonder |

Err...dun tink there's a model called SE120...u meant SE102? SE102 is gr8 in terms of clarity...vocals and instruments separation is precise...
Nt too sure abt the SE110 but i guess both IEM arnd the same for clarity. Price gap oso quite big wor Gt the SE102 lo since more cheap n SQ nt bad~ |

SE102 is dynamic driver IEM while SE110 is balanced armature IEM. Sound should be different. But at budget range region, they shouldnt differ much in term of SQ.
Typical dynamic sound = musical, fun Typical BA sound = high clarity, analytical |

Without budget, it will be pointless asking. Can range from free earphone to USD20K+ headphone hahaha

Try soundmagic PL20, Lear LE01 or EP630. Pioneer not really famous for earphone.
