Not more than RM200. If the price is SLIGHTLY above that it should be fine. It's for the greater good. >_>
*
Mylarone Bijou perhaps, level 4 for more balanced treble and bass.

ahh what about the warranty then?

this might change my mind bout getting a +/- rm300 headphone n purchase a crossroad bijou instead first, n buy the m50 later on when i have extra..

if can just save the money now and one shot get the best. this is what the other more experience audiophiles told me.
instead of lingering with those low-mid end choices, resist the temptation and save the money until can afford something above the mid-end level.
by that would usually mean one willing to spend >1k for audio gears. cool.gif

Just dropped by Moderno at SS15 today, I was considering either getting the SteelSeries 4H or Plantronics 367. Which is better in terms of sound quality?
*
neither are good choice if you're planning to use it for music listening. in terms of gaming had no idea sorry.

QUOTE(RealityDreamer @ Jun 24 2009, 04:54 PM)
im thinking about getting a new pair of cans but im new in this field
i'm not quite sure which one to get
my price range is about 100-200+, maybe 250 max
erm, i listen to bass heavy stuff, acoustic and a little bit of rock
can anyone give me some suggestions? biggrin.gif
*
Audio Technica ATH-AD300 might be good for it's sound signature, but that's slightly above ur budget.
ATH-M30 is OK, sounded neutral overall, goes well with most genre of songs.

Hi there,Ace meimei reporting in rclxms.gif
first time posting in audiophiles section, hope to get some useful advices from sifu sifu here notworthy.gif

I've budget of rm500 for my pc desktop, the purpose of the headset is for gaming and music listening biggrin.gif and the sound card i'm using is Creative X-Fi Titanium Professional Audio Edition, so may i know, among these in the list, which is the good go?

Alessandro MS1i
Audio technica AD700
Audio technica ES7
Beyer Dynamics DT440
Sennheiser HD555
Sennheiser HD414

or sifu sifu have something can recommend me?
and do i need an external amp?
*
my 2 cents on the 2 Audio Technica choices listed.

AD700 is a great full-size headphone, it's a good choice if u can get one. do note that portability for it is almost nil due to it's large size.

ES7 is good in terms of sound quality and portability. recommend it if you wanted to bring it around and enjoys high Q music.

the other brands I'm not so familiar with their styles so better wait for other's answer for them. cool.gif

sieg_wahrheit, since u've went to Yodobashi Akiba, would recommend u check out BicCamera shops for further auditions.
Yodobashi is too noisy to my liking to test out the phones and it's kinda hard to do judgement because u cant try with ur own source.

higher end Audio Technicas are worthwhile to test out, like AD2000, A2000X etc, or maybe wooden cans.

once u've aimed certain model, try to check it on Amazon.co.jp, I noticed their price is usually lower than those dept stores.

P/S: high 5 for LYN member in Tokyo! rclxms.gif

yea

been using ep-630 for years n recently bijou n still find it uncomfy..  doh.gif
oh, i thought it's the other way around?

so price for price, headphones will sound generally better?

'm thinking of audio technica m30/m35, or sj5..

maybe even sj3 which is almost 1/2 in price compared to sj5 if da sound is not bad at all cuz i like it white..  biggrin.gif

if it sounds smthg da like bijou then it's good enough for me..

willing to stretch to rm300, preferably lightweight, comfortable, balanced and as long as bass is non-existant..
*
dude have u tried Bijou fitted with EP-630's eartips? it does work well for me. cool.gif

Can anyone recommend me a wireless headset with clear sound and good bass and can pair with mobile phone as well as those laptop with built in bluetooth. Thank, budget around RM300.  icon_question.gif
*
if you prefer the SQ over the wireless, it's possible to get such headphone under the stated budget.

wireless + bluetooth + good SQ = >> RM 300. plus, I didn't heard of any headphone that can meet the requirements stated so far.

ATH-FC700? tried it briefly before, kinda like it's SQ, sounded good on flat EQ trough my Walkman. bass is satisfying, and clarity is not bad too.

QUOTE(HL Milk @ Jul 26 2009, 10:22 PM)
Hi guys, I need some pros recommendation for earphones. Here are the some information from my side:

My budget is around RM100.
I would like to use the earphone for music and movie on the go, like for ipod handphone and laptop.
The music source is mainly flac, mp3 and mp4.
Usually listen to classic, techno, rock, and a little of pop.
I prefer easy carry, able to provide clarity of sound and some bass.

Looking forward for your kind reply. Thank you.
*
SoundMagic PL11, heard it's good for bass and some details which suits ur listening well.
I had PL20 but the bass is an issue, slightly better once paired up with Fiio E5.

according to Akabane, Audio Technica M30 performs kinda good for FPS game.
besides, musical-wise M30 sounded better than normal conventional headphones.

M50 cost above RM 500 I think. can get through the few forumers doing bulk here.

not much comment on the Pro700 but M50 can surely beats the crap out of those conventional gaming headphones lol.

M30 is good enough, but M50 is much better. tongue.gif

Hmmm Budget maybe a little above RM100.

What i'm looking for are headphones with the right balance of bass and treble. Most sonic gear headsets which i have bought so far are uncomfortable and hurt my ears. Hurt as in not because of the sound but hurts because of the lousily designed ear pads D: which totally sucks btw.

So now im looking for a comfortable pair of headphones. I have tried the steelseries but their treble is way to high though their headphones are the the most comfortable ive ever placed on my head biggrin.gif.

Basically right balance of bass and treble and comfortable throughout over loooong hours maybe 5-7 hours long.

EDIT: If you cant find one above rm100 feel free to post others even with a higher price just give priority to the RM100 one's please thanks.
*
dunno wheter Audio Technica ATH-T22 suits u or not, price is OK but sound signature am not sure bout it.
alternatively, the much expensive ATH-M30, around RM 200 is kinda balanced in the sound signature and you would like it.

ATH-AD300 seems to fit in nicely. alternatively, ATH-M30 might be a good choice too.

if u're more into music n movie, Logitech's headseat may not be a good choice.....

it is will nice than other USB virtual Headset like Steelseries or Logitech ( or just a B***s*** )? since my spec just onboard audio chip...ATH-AD300 would better than those ?  Philips SHP8900/00 not too good in movie?
*
for gaming purposes, those steelseries might be good, but ATH-AD300 those won't lose much either. however when it comes to music, AD300 should be much better than those gaming headsets.
no ideas bout Philips though, but I would rather take Philips than those gaming headsets if given choice of both.
