Deal Price:
$279.00 HOT DEAL!

Denon AVR-1610 5.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver with 1080p HDMI Connectivity $279.00 with Free Shipping, after coupon at Sixth Ave Electronics
If you are building a home theater system and don't have the money to drop a grand on a receiver, check out this deal. The Denon AVR-1610 features 75w output per channel, analog-to-digital HDMI video conversion, and decoding for the latest high resolution audio formats (including Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby’s new Pro Logic IIz decoding).
Affordability and high performance are the hallmarks of the AVR-1610 home theater receiver, which features the latest high resolution audio decoders, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. As well, the AVR-1610 is one of the first to include Dolbys new Pro Logic IIz decoding, which provides front channel height effects, to dramatically increase the front soundstage for the ultimate surround sound experience. With three HDMI inputs and two HD-compatible component inputs, the AVR-1610 features analog-to-digital HDMI video conversion, allowing a single HDMI cable run to your HDTV, simplifying connections and minimizing cable costs at the same time. Top audio fidelity is assured with the Audyssey MultEQ room acoustic measurement and correction system, which analyzes the speakers and the listening room at up to six measurement points (microphone included) and automatically corrects the response for the smoothest, most natural tonal balance. Audyssey Dynamic Volume and Dynamic EQ ensure rich tonal quality at any volume level, with no annoying volume jumps at commercial interruptions. You can also connect and control your iPod/touch or iPhone using one of Denons available iPod/iPhone docks, which provides on-screen artist, album and song information.

SORRY for mis-understanding. DHT-390 is more like HTiB incl speakers. I just recall that Denon 1610 which can support TrueHD is selling something like RM1.8k. Should be around that region. Remember this is TrueHD support Receiver but still below RM2k.

well it should be priced at 1k!! biggrin.gif

If choose other Jap brand, more or less the same. Worse, choose substitute products, ie HTiB. Full features, plug and play.

Just realised that I overpaid for my 4310. *sigh*

With a bit more diligence and window shopping, I could have got it for HK$13,800. Instead, I paid HK$1,000 more. *double sigh*

auditioned the KEF XQ & Reference series just now.  drool.gif 50% - 70% price increase is imminent (around Nov) for the XQ series. cry.gif

@ ar188 - haven't check out that place you recommended yet. maybe next week when i have some spare time.
*
terra, I guess that place , the price is just for reference, just use that as point of bargaining.. and probably stick to the retailer which you know well..
I wonder what else in Home Theater is cheap/good deal in HK.. some stuffs are way cheaper than local prices.. biggrin.gif
