Gucci Envy is one of my favourites too. I got 2 bottles as I expect Envy to be very much a hard to get fragrance in Malaysia in a few years time.

jonny4,most of the perfumes I saw is atleast in 50ml bottles. Do you think there is 30ml bottle available for TDH, Kenzo Power and M7?
*
Afaik TdH comes only in 50ml and 100ml

Kenzo Power, 60ml and 120ml

M7, 50ml and 100ml only.

Quite often the importers here won't bring in 30ml sizes and prefer us to buy 100ml sizes. That's why u can see that most of the time the nicer free gifts come with 100ml bottles. It's actually more economical to buy 100ml sizes but I personally prefer smaller sizes as they save space and in my case won't take me a few years to finish a bottle.

100ml takes a few years to finish? just curious..
*
Well i have many bottles of colognes. If I tell u the exact amount of bottles I own u r in for a shock LOL.

So taking a year to finish a 100ml bottle is specially for my case. If u have a few bottles then a 100ml bottle will take maybe less than a year to finish if worn daily. Also depends on the no of sprays u use.

Hail jonny4 from the enclave!! Here's my array of cologne:

RL Romance Silver
SJ Unforgiveable
Lacoste Essential
Acqua Di Gio
(Can you suggest when to use which cologne? Still couldn't figure out the right combination)
Looking to add 2 more to my collection. 1 for office & other for casual. Any suggestions? considering Chanel Egoiste Platinum and versace eau fraiche at the moment. Please advise. Thanks!!
*
Romance Silver - Office/casual
Unforgivable - Office/casual
Lacoste Essential - Office/casual
Acqua di Gio - Office/casual

Dude your collection is heavily citrus dominant and almost all can be categorized as office colognes. Egoiste Platinum n Eau Fraiche are also office friendly colognes. Why not go for something sweet or spicy like Dior Homme, Gucci Envy, YSL Opium Pour Homme and Givenchy Pi for special occasions and clubbing.

I bought my 50ml Gucci Envy in World of Perfume shop in Souka Mall near KL Sentral for RM169. If your near that area, then you can buy it from there.
Unfortunately, that shop don't carry the perfumes that I want (which is TDH, Kenzo Power & M7) for it's just a small shop at the 3rd floor of Souka Mall. I need to go to KLCC I think or Pavillion to find the perfumes that I want.
*
The prices i mentioned in the earlier post are all standard retail prices in places like Parkson and Metro. Both my bottles of Gucci Envy i bought for RM169 too from Just Parfum.

Yeah you should get what u want from KLCC and Pavilion.

wow thanks! any recommendations for something sensual & sexy. I mean like manly sexy... LOL!

Try YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme and YSL M7

From my experience, women seem to like those two.

Women as in female sex over the age of 25. If u looking to attract women less than 21 yrs then stick to what u have tongue.gif

there's a difference?? i thought women under 21 are also quite in favor of sweet smelling perfumes tongue.gif
*
Rive Gauche and M7 are both sweet, more so for M7 but the sweetness in both is the mature kind not the fruity bubble gum sweetness that is common in many male fragrances today.

But I am speaking in general terms though and what a women likes may differ tongue.gif

i just bought TDH this evening at Parkson KLCC. I can't wait to wear them tom. I also tried sniffing M7 but for some reason I'm not attracted to it. I don't know why. I tried kenzo power on my skin and man o man, the perfume smells so good. I think I know now which perfume is my next purchase. I love it.
*
Dude u r becoming a perfume addict like me ! HAHA.
Kenzo Power good ain't it...lol. Some find it feminine but I find it very unique and refreshing compared to the usual fruity aquatic fragrance. I bought it on the spot after smelling it.

wanna ask how about Lanvin L'Homme Sport? is it long lasting..
btw how to know for day or evening used??
btw jonny4 thanks i already bought kenzo power and i love it..
actually i got this davidoff adventure a gift from my friend i dont really like it..
just wanna know is it day or evening used and what occasion is suitable to wear it..
*
Lanvin L'Homme Sport is quite good but the longevity is rather average. I don't own one but judging from a skin test i done i would say longevity is in the range of 4-6 hrs.

Generally, in the day lighter colognes are preffered (e.g Aqua di Gio, Cool Water, Eternity). Whereas at night heavier sweeter colognes are preferred (e.g Armani Code, Gucci Envy and Thierry Mugler A*Men). But in the end it depends more on an individual's preference. I myself don't really categorize my fragrances between night and day. But wearing something super heavy like A*Men to the office is not going to help make you friends in the office. While wearing Aqua di Gio to a classy dinner ain't going to help give you a aura of class and sophistication.

Davidoff Adventure i tested today and it's very subtle. It can last long but too subtle even for the wearer to detect. Adventure should ok to be worn for any occasion night or day.

hahahah..yeah dude. It's OK. This is some simple pleasure we can have cause it just not benefit us but those people around us (by giving them very pleasant scent...Hopefully I won't be the reason for them to remember their ex'es hehehe).
Yeah man, Kenzo Power is so good. Although after quite sometime wearing it, it smells sort of powderly like smell. I don't know wht it is but its like that. But over all, I like it.
*
Kenzo Power is a floral fragrance for men. The powdery smell is quite mild actually compared some fragrances. I don't think many guys wear Power so u would be smelling quite unique. Maybe after a few wearing u will come to appreciate that powdery smell smile.gif

I still love my live jazz. it has incredible longevity and sillage. sprayed it in my room 3 days ago and i still can smell it. wonder how would kourous be? 1 month? haha
*
1 month would be too extreme even for Kouros. But if i spray Kouros in my room and it hits any kind of fabric then i think Kouros will last maybe a week or two.

IMO I don't categorize Live Jazz as a powerhouse like you do. For me it's just average longevity and sillage.

Kouros will definitely outlast M7. Even the vintage version is no match for Kouros. Well Kouros is King.

Kouros? Hmmm...interesting... let the battle of the fragrance begin...Kouros Vs Jazz Vs. M7... will be fighting againts the following categories:
1. Longetivity
2. Being "chick magnet"
3. bang for the buck
*
Longevity - Kouros. Of the many colognes i own few come close to the power of Kouros. Longevity of Kouros is measured in double figures.

Chick magnet - subjective. would be to much of a generalization but Live Jazz would appeal to a larger group of women from various ages. M7 would come in 2nd. Kouros is just too polarizing. Some women find it sexy some think it stinks.

bang for the buck - Kouros. Because one or 2 sprays will last you maybe 12 hours or more. A 50ml bottle will last u a long time. I am not exaggerating.

btw, There is Jazz and Live Jazz. In this case i am referring to Live Jazz as me and Joey were discussing about it earlier.

No man. Kouros only wins in my book. You will definitely have a different opinion about Kouros after u smell it. It's like M7. Me and Joey adore M7 to bits but u didn't like it. Kouros is another love-hate fragrance not will not appeal to the masses.

Kouros is too complex for some people.

btw the M7 in klcc is the old M7 and the one in pavilion is the new one. they smell slightly different. You can tell as the old m7's bottle is completely brown, while the new is transparent with only 1 side being brown
*
I don't think there is a need to go into the whole vintage M7 vs new M7 debate here. I'm really sick of it.

I cannot differenciate all the perfumes I tried..Im practically new to this..Only had Eternity for Men summer as a gift and its good..
*
Maybe because you tried too many of the same type (e.g citrus aquatics). Be more adventurous and try colognes that are not worn by many and u might detect a difference.
Also, don't try too many at the same time as the nose will get tired.

Or shud I tell them Im new to all this..Then they'll try and convince me to get the exp ones..haha tongue.gif  tongue.gif
*
Actually i prefer going to sample perfume alone. That way no one will influence your opinion. Well it's their job to come and try to convince you to buy something HAHA. Not many of these sales assistants are that good anyway when it comes to giving u advice. Most of the time they only know the brand they are in charge of and nothing else. But I have met a few that are really knowledgeable. Best not to tell them u r new to this. They will just push you to buy the new releases that may or may not be good and are actually more expensive.

Haha Playboy cologne. Saw it the other day at Guardian. It's so tacky that i didn't even bother trying. For cheap deodorant sprays i prefer nivea and lynx.

Those brands from supermarket eg.Addidas and Brut etc..Are they good?

They are alright i guess. But be prepared, wearing something cheap from the pharmacy will make u smell like every other guy on the street especially high school students. I only wear the pharmacy stuff if i'm goin out to mamak, buying groceries or anywhere else that I wear shorts and t shirt. But nowadays i wear these deodorants less and less as wear my more expensive colognes most of the time.

how's david off silver shadow altitude?
*
Personally I think Silver Shadow is a very nice frag to wear in Malaysian weather. Its a nice aquatic with undertones of woods. It is also a little sweet. Compared to many other similar fragrances out there in the market, I find Silver Shadow to be very well made and a level above the rest. Longevity wise Silver Shadow gets quite subtle and smooth after 2 hours and u might think it is gone but trust me it is still there and can last up to 8 hours.

I bought a bottle about 4 months ago and I've only worn it less than 5 times. I like the initial top notes as i like the combo of chocolate, a lil strawberrys and woods. But after an hour i find Diamonds to be rather boring. Its just an ok ok cologne for me, nothing special.
